I could of bluesky hadn’t compressed the image so much so I can’t read the bus stop :P

Great news! The last person I followed who was challenging this in the high court was told it would be too hard and expensive for everyone to update their systems so denied the case/appeal

Ahh the “it’s bloody obvious but we’ll never mention it to you because that would be rude” issue. The amount of people I had going “well yeah, obviously, we thought you knew” when I got my autism diagnosis

I know I know but my drawer had a 100mm case fan, and a large sheet of aluminium!

I only have data from early evening as my homeassistant raspi overheated and I didn’t realise, so have Jerry rigged heatsyncs and a fan!

In short, I think what you/we are feeling is an unfortunate inevitability of being unable to comprehend/deal with the sheer amount of awful that is going on, completely outside our sphere of influence.

Then there is the rapid increase in the severity of climate change and seemingly little to no work to increase the speed of minimising our impact/emissions etc

100

Dave Treadwell @judgetread.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

Couple that with the global slide to the right (manufactured or otherwise), the gradual stripping of our rights and liberties/authoritarianism creeping in over the last decade and accelerating, and now the beginning of the era of trillionaires and global hunger still existing.

Dave Treadwell @judgetread.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

It’s new. 20 years of increasing creep of internet/social media meaning every tiny bad thing, every huge bad thing, every depressing event globally can be shared in an instant to the other side of the world that would never have reached you before, or taken days to weeks.

My mum would often get up early to go downstairs and read the news on ceefax, and she was always astounded that I knew when she did this as I could hear the TV’s CRY “whine” upstairs and through my bedroom door

Week away in Cornwall and used the powerchair in anger for the first time - really impressed with it, and very very glad I took the leap and accepted I needed it. Definitely need to invest in a cup holder of some sort - although unlike manual chairs, there aren’t many places to attach it to!

Writing for PinkNews, Wes Streeting, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, says he hears the concerns of LGBTQ+ people, and wants to reassure trans youngsters that they have not been forgotten.
If you are a young person questioning your gender, or a parent watching your child struggle with who they are, this moment of reassessing how NHS gender services are accessed and deployed may feel frightening.
You might be worried about what comes next. You might feel uncertain, unheard, or invisible in a debate that too often talks about you, rather than to you.
