Rebecca Paul fails to realise that Britain has much loved wild animals and birds. The people made their choice, the Bank of England made theirs based on that. Occasionally there are also stamps with famous British things on. Much ado about nothing.

The change in wind direction last night meant there was condensation on the OUTSIDE of the bathroom window! Yes, it was colder inside my house than out. It's evened up a bit this morning and the sun's coming out. Forecast to be warm. Perfect mushrooming weather, if only I knew some woods nearby.

This person doesn't. This person informs themselves over a broad spectrum of ideas and ideologies and always has done. Pointing out something that happens to 2 friends doth not make me a "cookie cutter" person, it makes me observant.

I don't hate Russians, I hate that Putin decided to attack Ukraine and thinks it's his god given right to claim the country for Russia. I hate that Russia is waging a hybrid warfare on many European countries, is assassinating people in the UK. I know other countries engage in undercover work too.

Many "think" they're immune to the propaganda, but those people have had decades of experience and have honed their skills, built on the successes of Goebbals et al who used it so effectively and for so long.

He won't risk going to the US if the mid-terms oust the majority of Republicans...he won't feel safe...any court case here would see him deported back to face justice quicker than they're doing for the Tate brothers. Russia would be better.

Many have quite interesting bios, but never ever post anything about the stuff they quote in their bios...it's predominantly moaning about the politics of the world they live in, and even fewer amongst those ever post anything they're actually DOING to change things for the better. Zombies.

Bluesky has become as bad as X imo, full of ragebait, ReFUKKKers and those endlessly posting about them, ie promoting them. It's why I mostly post bollux about really banal things like my garden, Mr and Mrs Barky Dog, their cat and my cleaning efforts in the house.

I've put most of the geraniums, fuschias and begonias I want to keep safe over winter in the unheated greenhouse, sorted through bulbs I lifted early summer and re-planted the best, am about to chop down huge bronze fennel stems and have tied in the raspberry canes. Still lots to do!

Queen guitarist Brian May turned 157 acres of farmland in Dorset, England into a woodland nature reserve now home to more than 100,000 trees. In September 2013, May planted the first oak sapling alongside local residents, who helped plant around 600 trees that day.

I have 2 friends who had it on constantly whilst at home and had NO idea of the effects of the propaganda on them, and to this day deny it, whilst still believing some of the conspiracy theories they so cunningly broadcast, so slickly.

It's odd to me just how many people are posting images and text quotes exhorting people not to vote for Republicans on here. Do they really think it's going to make a difference preaching to the choir so to speak? Bluesky isn't exactly awash with Trump supporters I don't think...a wasted effort.

is worth preserving as intact as possible or does it not matter if it changes? If it changes a lot, can it still be said to be your core culture? Can you spot aspects of others' cultures that are different to yours? Do you think those cultures should be preserved, or should they change too?

I've just started reading a big book, kind of a history book which is both infuriating me and gripping me. It's a bit challenging to some of my ideas but the historical backgrounds to today's general consensus of opinion about things is genuinely interesting. Anyway, got eyestrain so had to stop.

I hope, like me, they have places they can order online and have cheese delivered. Perhaps smaller farmers will be able to take their varied produce to the bigger towns and sell to desperate supermarkets or directly to customers. I think rural places will be less affected overall.

My heart is quietly breaking for all the French cheese that has been ruined by hackers who made supermarket freezers and chiller cabinets de-frost and go up to 50°C overnight. Not to mention the ice-cream and chilled desserts. Paris also saw a massive fire destroy their large old covered market.

Having planned a cheese sauce for broccoli I'm shocked to discover there's no blue left and only 3 pieces of other cheese in the freezer. Time to re-order. It'd be a culinary catastrophe for me to run out. I've limited my cheese intake with some difficulty due to cholesterol levels. I've been good.

I have also passed the cobweb remover over all the coving and walls downstairs, cleaned the glass in all my paintings, applied actual wood polish to some of the wooden floor, deep cleaned the vacuum cleaner filters, dusted some ledges and realise just how much more there is to do. Damp and grey out.

The alcove lights in dining room haven't worked for about 4yrs after one bulb blew up and I couldn't get all the glass out of the socket. Today I vacuumed it and had another go at putting new bulbs in both, whilst balanced precariously on a stepladder, and carefully replacing the shades. They work!
