Lo interesante es que estos sistemas pueden tener retroalimentación interna: la propia tormenta modifica el entorno y condiciona dónde y cómo se desarrollarán las siguientes células. Por eso su evolución y localización son tan difíciles de predecir.

I don’t know whether this happens elsewhere in the world, but in Catalonia meteorologists are incapable of making a 24-hour forecast. This is a completely new, unexpected and dangerous phenomenon.

1/4 One of the strangest ideas in modern theoretical physics is holography: the possibility that a gravitational theory describing a volume of space can be exactly equivalent to a quantum theory defined on its boundary. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hologra...

It is right to worry about the future dangers of AI. But I think we should be more concerned about the real and present danger posed by the enormous nuclear arsenal currently in the hands of an expansionist tyrant and a senile incompetent.

In my view, failed harvests may be the greatest threat facing our species. If climate extremes cause sustained declines in global agricultural production, the consequences could be enormous: food shortages, higher prices, disrupted supply chains and social instability.

If you ever wondered why visible light is those particular wavelengths, it's because life evolved to see in the narrow range where water is transparent

What if AGI doesn't arrive as a single superintelligent system, but as a society of AIs, humans, tools and institutions working together? DeepMind explores this idea as “Artificial Symbiotic Intelligence”, shifting the focus from individual models to the intelligence of the whole system.

Artificial symbiotic intelligence: Agents, AGI and the orchestration of many minds

AGI may arrive not as a single general-purpose mind, but rather through societies of agents whose collective capacities exceed those of any one model. We must learn how to orchestrate, govern, and liv...
