We show how there are many pattern fitness peaks (not just one solution, so yes, scope for species adaptation). But evo-devo likely covers a lot of variation (+ unknown drift/relaxed selection). Our motion dazzle hypothesis can work with most of the other theories (signalling, thermoregulation etc.)
