I think it is much more of a tragedy than a horror. Meant to be somewhat spooky a bit, but my sympathy for Ronald mitigates a lot of that. Spookiest thing is the parallel to a real life similar event that as far as I can tell had no relation to the film. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_...

I saw this in 1974 as a 7 year old, and if affected me deeply and remains a favorite. Kim Hunter’s performance is great, Jacoby is better in this than his other films I think, and though Danny Coleman’s part is small, it’s great to see him here.

For all of you saying the portrait doesn’t do her justice,, it isn’t a portrait of Nan. She modeled for a character in the painting. The character isn’t her. 🙄

Au contraire! I want to take what I learn from big-cat-fucking and bring it back to the humans like a feline-sex messiah. I’m sure I’d be worshipped for it!

I dislike a lot of country music, but both of you must admit the statement is a bit sweeping. Especially on the heels of the death of Dolly Parton. Come on, Johnny Cash? Orville Peck? Roger Miller? Willie Nelson? Glenn Campbell? I could go on. Classifying all of them as “shit” is a little much.

She’s gorgeous! You’re almost there!

Sometimes a little bit of green next to a parking lot is enough to uplift your day if you stop for a moment to notice. Sometimes taking a little green with you, even artificial, helps, too. Future home of my dashboard graveyard in the SpookyRiot art car.

If you have a car, you can be the first. Way easier than it looks, and so addictive.

Oh, god, I wish. Sounds like heaven.

In a world of cyber trucks be the art car.

How dare someone park a cyber truck so close to The SpookyRiot?

I guarantee the film/tv version of Dungeon Crawler Carl will include at least one experience grinding montage that uses the Wet Leg song “catch these fists.”

Anybody else like this close to tears like all the time right now. I swear, I’m just minding my own business and something will just hit me sideways, push that emote button and my eyes start welling up. This world is not well and it’s making me unwell.

There’s a guy in the office who keeps telling callers, “To err is human, to forgive divine, but to really foul things up you need a computer.” He thinks it’s the funniest thing in the world.

It’s a total ploy. They know the narrative is going to eventually force guardrails, so they are coming in ahead to control that narrative and thus control the guardrails. They want to lay the loopholes and not allow allow anyone to tell them how to do it. Don’t fall for it.

By announcing this you have just established yourself as a new denizen of Boomertown, where, if your neighbors pause long enough from shouting at the clouds, they might welcome you. Boomerism is a mindset. Enjoy.

Hey, give him a break! He proved he was alive, didn’t he?

Great.. but he’s a fucking transphobe. Fuck that guy.

Of the press corps exchanged their regular cameras for Flock cameras, do you think the White House would let them in then?

The message is good. The Ali slop is bullshit. Pick up a fucking pencil or brush, this is just feeding the oppressors with the oppressors tools. The medium IS the message, and this ai medium is pure bullshit. Stop it!

Monster: The Lizzy Borden Story on Netflix is completely historically inaccurate. But I don’t really care, Because it’s really fucking cool.

Whenever Gerrit Graham showed up in anything, you knew you were in for a good time. RIP legend and thank you for all the memories.

Blame doesn’t matter when they are profiting off of the gas prices. They don’t care what you say if there’s enough money in it.

It soon becomes unextincted because science!

Again, disappointed. A library would be truly amazing. But a bookstore, meh.

You make my point for me.

I’ve staid quiet on Talarico. I didn’t trust him from the start, and said so then, but when he got the primary I shut up and stopped paying attention to him. I’m not in Texas so it’s not my fight. Fit finding his views are anti trans worries me, a lot. www.instagram.com/reel/DdcS2Yr...

Wait, it’s a bookstore and not a library? Have to say I’m a tad disappointed.

I think what I said is way funnier, though. Comedy, you should look into it.

Martin Landau in the end of North by Northwest, or Jeremy Irons as Scar in Lion King.

Though… if it took more than a few, I might be tempted to pull a Martin Landau or a Jeremy Irons.

Literally nothing. Just stand and stare and wait.

I think I’m an outlier in that I switch hit between Coke and Pepsi depending on my mood. I also thing the world might be better if we all did this and don’t tribalize over something so silly as carbonated sugar water.

Yeah, slug. Wish I had one when I went to UCSanta Cruz.

I assume since it is a library the organ is muted?

And they don’t want to manufacture a shortage because that would cause a drop in profits and thus, the stock. Again, it’s a heist.
