NGL the thing I miss most about Vegas is In-N-Out, Del Taco, and real Mexican food (I understand Del Taco isn't Mexican and I hate that I have to add that context). The FIRST place I visit when I go home is Casa Don Juan.

If art is worthless, then why do we spend billions of dollars creating programs that don't do much except create art? And they don't even do that well. Or good. At all.

I was asked why PB retired. Well, first the goodest boi is enjoying middle age in comf. We did another run. This one, sadly, was not accepted for AGDQ 2026. Only 300 or so people have seen PB play The Legend of Zelda with me. He might return someday, if the right project compels us.

I didn't see it reported much anywhere, but Duane Keith Davis is guilty. As a kid who was 12 in September 96 & loved hip hop, his murder was hard for me to swallow. Especially living in Vegas. Even 30 years later, it doesn't feel real. Glad he got justice. Wish his momma could've seen it.

Imagine being a speedrunner and NOT using the tricks/glitches available to you to finish a game(s) fast. What if it was 11 games in a row. That it took take 24 hours to complete? Over the hill and over 40. Is this person a madmn and lost their marbles? TBD 2028 - More info to come soon

It's in beta after ten drafts, 114k words, and 3 months of editing daily. And one of my beta readers read the entire thing in one night. I damn near cried.

That bounty being offered for the SMB TAS tie is actually ghoulish and is a really bad sign for speedrunning IMO. Speedrunning should be a free hobby without monetizing it outside of your own stream and brand. Attaching large amounts of prize/bounty money is asking for trouble in so many ways IMO.

There’s a phishing scam going around that targets Twitch creators. “Ooh, we messed up your payment, please log in with THIS LINK and gimme all your credentials.” • Automated emails will 99% be sent through “no-reply@twitch.tv” • Check for spelling and grammar errors. • If it’s Junk, it’s Junk!

A screenshot of a phishing email from an account claiming to be the Twitch streaming platform that says :

“Twitch Interactive, Inc. would like to notify you that during a planned audit and recalculation of tax returns for the last reporting period, a technical discrepancy was identified in the tax deduction calculations for
your account.
As a result of the detected technical problem, excess funds were incorrectly debited from your account. We apologize for the misunderstanding and confirm that the refund procedure is currently in progress.”

"My Kite" by James Bryon (written as a waltz, 3/4 @ 85 bpm, but I wanted to share) Alt text = full poem in text form #culture #authors #poets #artists #photographers #HumansOfBluesky #booksky

"My Kite"
By James Bryon

Do you ask, if the wind,
Outlasts lovers and friends?
Cause I do. If it does, I won’t cry.
Over secrets it keeps—
That the toughest truth-seekers seek
Does the spite remain when you rise?
For if one won’t forgive
How can one ever live?
Isn’t amnesty the seedling of love?
Like a kite being blown,
Had to let, let it go.
And watch it rise on above.

Rise on my love, step into my shine
Float with the clouds till they’re brothers of mine
And don’t release till we’ve ceased all our woes
We rise on high with our worries below.
Rise on my love, step into my shine
Sisters with seagulls, a fist full of line
And don’t let it slip till your woes are all gone—
If love’s lighter than air, best we love and rise on

Do you ask, if the wind
outlasts lovers and friends?
Cause I do. And it does. And I know.
The cold wants my hands—
and the bitter black wants the man,
it’s too easy to let pain grow
See, a lamp burning spite
will burn oil all night
Isn’t bitterness the ember of woe?
Like a kite coming in fast
You can’t let, let it crash,
It must rise on before we go.

Rise on my love, step into my shine
Float with the clouds till they’re brothers of mine
And don’t release till we’ve ceased all our woes
We rise on on high with our worries below.
Rise on my love, step into my shine
Sisters with seagulls, a fist full of line
And don’t let it slip till your woes are all gone—
If love’s lighter than air, best we love and rise on

My kite it soars grand, above everything
The wind whispers, whispers, in secrets it sings
My kite takes command, my ribbon hold on
The wind whispers, whispers, forgive and rise on
