I want to take this Caturday to say that rabies cases have increased lately. Please vaccinate your pets. You may think that your cats won’t get out, but crazier things have happened than a bat getting into your house. I’m not saying there is a huge chance of contracting it, but please vaccinate!

Kevin, a stray I feed, got super sick lately. Took him to the emergency vet, and after making preparations to adopt him, I found out he has FIV. He got meds, but it’s hard not think of the life he could’ve had as an indoor cat. I hope to one day find him a happy home. ❤️‍🩹

It’s my roommate’s birthday, so I made a pie that I’m going to eat by myself in front of him. I learned how to stabilize whipped cream and use a piping bag for it. It’s the prettiest thing I’ve ever baked - which isn’t saying much - but I wanted to preserve it here for posterity.

It’s been five years since Kermit showed up two days before a tropical depression hit and decided not to be a stray anymore. He’s the best thing that ever happened to me. We survived a pandemic, a Category 4 hurricane, two tornado warnings, 12+ vet visits, and more. Here’s to many more years. ❤️🐱
