Mt Rainier is just visible through a morning for that catches the sunrise light and infuses the air with a pinkish golden glow. When my gf make's herself a Bloody Mary it's probably 1/3 pickle brine. I don't go quite that aggressive, but I will certain take an occasional sip from the jar we keep in the fridge for that purpose. It's not the good stuff tho.

Yep. We have a dry-erase calendar on the fridge and just move things around every month/week as we feel like it, with rotating standards we'll just eat till we get sick of them or one of us has a taste for something. Like last weekend it was frozen pizzas for nostalgia.

Met some future in-laws for the 1st time at their home in a very nice Chicago suburb. They told how some famous baseballers lived there, and I said “Oh there’s a nice (i.e. where multimillionaire athletes live) part of [suburb]?” I heard how it sounded as it left my mouth, but it was too late.

Went to visit Seattle big-bottomed girl the other day. Took 8 hours to cover an ~11 mile loop because it was a day for stopping and just . . . stopping. Crazy busy but hang around someplace long enough there'll be moments and even long minutes of solitude while it all just happens.

I do not like that Mitch McConnell video because I have seen people I love in a similar state and I definitely do not love Mitch MicConnell but my experience causes me a twinge of empathy for someone who is a horrible human. Like one of the worst. It makes me uncomfortable.

I took a short Bluesky break, but I'll just jump back in here a minute to say Strangers is so good! Swim is a "Stop whatever I'm doing and just listen" song. I definitely haven't shushed my girlfriend when it came on because that would be rude, but I've definitely thought about it.
