¡Viva España! There is justice in this world. The best team won (incredible passes), and what a deserved bronze medal for England! All the tricks to draw penalties, hostility on/off the pitch, and politicization of the game didn't help Argentina; it is possible to win & lose with class (like Messi).

Excellent article (in German): www.ipg-journal.de/rubriken/wir.... Do not fight neoliberalism with neoliberal recipes, and do not plunder pension funds to publicly finance the enormous capital needs of the tech oligarchs' data centres. If that bubble bursts, 2008 would be pathetic reminiscence.

All host nations out. Sorry for the players, but only really for Canada. Horrible audience in Mexico: cheer on the own team, but do not boo opponents whenever they are on the ball. And then the big scandal; instead of helping the (innocent) US team, pol. interference seemed to have paralysed it.
