You’ve gotta appreciate that he’s a paint color called “Husky Orange” by Sherwin Williams😭💀

Donald Trump at the Super Bowl with way too much self tanner, make up, and bronzer on his face to where he matches the orange wall behind him

I love her outfit. More practical for running about the moors than a filmy nightgown. #LooksILove #GothicNovel

The cover of a paperback from the 1970s showing a woman moving with haste away from a ruined house on the English coast.

I had polio when i was 9. I was taken from my parents & placed in a Hospital for contageous diseases- the polio ward. I would see them once a week - thru the glass window at the end of my ward. I could not walk. It was terrifying. Kids died. Iron lungs were awful. Dont let RFK Jr ban the vaccine

Orwell’s “Animal Farm,” a short, succinct burst of brilliance that you can finish in a day, should be required reading at all age levels at this stage.

Please tell me who first posted this so I can properly credit, bc it made me laugh hard this morning

A two panel comic strip.

Panel 1: A light gray human shape (like a thicc stick figure) labelled "THE WEALTHY ELITE" reaches greedily, mouth open in excitement, towards a large floating yellow ball that is labelled "A SECOND GILDED AGE"

Panel 2: same as above, but behind the gray figure (who now has a sweat drop to indicate nervousness on its head) is a VERY large pink blob labelled "THE RETURN OF OUTLAW FOLL HEROES" with one arm wrapped around the gray figure, expression quietly threatening

When NOT running from houses - the Gothic Romance Paperback Heroines are famous for striking dramatic poses on top of stairways, holding candelabras. Shining a light in the darkness... #WyrdWednesday #BookchatWeekly #womenrunningfromhouses

A vintage Gothic Romance paperback cover - titled Blackgable Inn by Marie Eyre. A woman in her white nightgown standing on a dark stairway, holding a candelabra. Surrounded by sinister red shadows. Cover artist unknown.

My dude, you could tax/seize 99% of the wealth of just one person - the head of your 'Department of Government Efficiency' - and you'd raise more than $300billion. *And he would still be a multi-billionaire after you did that.* So fuck off with your targeting of the most vulnerable in society.

Quote from Rep. Richard McCormick on Fox Business: "We're gonna have to have some hard decisions. We're gonna have to bring in the Democrats to talk about Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare. There's hundreds of billions of dollars to be saved, we just have to have the stomach to take those challenges on."

One thing I do to keep ideas flowing is to create mockup covers for books I may (or may not) write. As I put them together ideas come as to who the heroine is, what the story might be, etc. #writing #gothic #mystery

Mockup cover for a novel about a transwoman who solves crimes in Edwardian England.

they will see

$What to Do When Someone Has a Panic Attack • Ask if they've considered that in season 6, episode 4 of the Sopranos, an episode of Gilmore Girls is playing on TV. In S07E17 of Gilmore Girls, Richard is wearing a tracksuit. Lorelai makes a joke about it by implicating a lunch date with Tony Soprano. • Ask if they realize this means that both the Sopranos and Gilmore Girls exist as television shows in the other's universe. When the Gilmore Girls watch the Sopranos, they will see themselves. When Tony Soprano watches Gilmore Girls, he sees himself and his family. • Like two facing mirrors; Gilmore Girls and Sopranos, a recursion, fractal, etc.$

Though there got to be too many shows to follow all of them I loved the Flash and Supergirl which captured the spirit of those comics at their best while still being great TV.
