Pluto exists. Whether it is classified as a planet is unimportant. But if you read a book about Pluto (or about the solar system), it should have been written AFTER the New Horizons spacecraft flew by Pluto in 2015. (The book you want is "Chasing New Horizons" by Alan Stern and David Grinspoon.)
