Oettinger will have games of brilliance, but just a little too often he gives up goals he should stop. It's why I consider him a really good goalie, but just short of an elite goalie. He's good enough to win the Cup, but that prob requires a strong d structure in front of him.

The wx community agrees forecasts matched our scientific skill. The end users say it wasn’t good enough. Frustratingly, we’re dismantling the ability to improve prediction science, communication services, and partner relations. Instead of blame or defense, we need to say: This WILL happen again.

Looks like the last time Dallas Co was in a Moderate Risk / Level 4 was a little over two years ago (3/2/2023), but that one was driven by both wind and tornado potential. Today's is driven by wind potential, although there is a large hail threat and some tornado threat as well.

This is G4 all over again. Stars look reasonable for the first 5ish min, then the Avs pop one, start picking up momentum. You think, well, if the Stars can get to the room at 1-0, that'll do, but then the Avs keep the pressure on and pop another. Dam broke. Prob can't let it get to 3-0 in the 2nd.

Ted is one of the most dedicated folks with whom I worked in the NWS, esp when it came to training the next generation of forecasters. The agency gained so much from his work. Most importantly, he alerted me about Mike’s Chicken in Dallas, which has since become my favorite chicken tender joint.
