This last weekend I was traveling out of town for a wedding. On Monday before my flight out I had some extra time, and with my old university campus on the way to the airport anyway I decided to visit. It was nice just walking around in “free roam” mode with no objectives. There’s plenty that’s changed in the short two years since I’ve graduated, but plenty more that was still the same.

I’ve been trying something a bit new with my phone since yesterday. What am I looking at? This is a launcher for Android called Olauncher and I’m trying it out to see if it can help me cut down on mindless phone usage. Olauncher replaces the built-in Android home screen with a simple list of 0-8 apps of your choosing. There are no icons, no folders, no widgets. There are wallpapers, but as you can see I’ve gotten rid of that as well.

Looks like I’ve been challenged to another blogging challenge by Joel! When did you first get interested in technology? To tell the truth, I can’t think of a time I wasn’t interested in technology. We always had a family computer growing up and it seemed like magic to toddler me. I grew up playing all sorts of games. One that especially stands out looking back was a mod for Half-Life called Digital Paintball.
