Destiny of the Doctor: The Time Machine it's a fun wrapup for the series, and is Jenna Coleman's only Big Finish credit currently (even though Clara is not in it although you could argue the one-off character could be a Clara echo) overall DotD is just okay although it has some strong highlights

they're recomps coded by ai so any assets they're upscaling are probably being funneled through the same generative ai programs they're using for the coding look at candy's photo in this one it's clearly done by ai with no supervision

it's fascinating how the person that made the ai dkc trilogy pc ports (among others) clearly doesn't like the games by how even the videos not about "upgrading" the visuals still use an ugly smoothing filter on the pixel art (or possibly just in the middle of ai upscaling it since they do that)

I tried asking but didn't get a clear answer but the ai manifesto being respected across the studio means artists on every production get to decide for themselves if they want to use it or not, and unfortunately it's unlikely their contract with the bbc forbids it, so it's likely used here

so we know from the doctor who script library that the rewrites for the reality war were done by september 2024 and we now know that the disney deal died in early 2025 I can certainly think of one thing that happened between those dates that would kill disney's interest in left-wing british shows

Destiny of the Doctor: Vengeance of the Stones was not expecting this to be the story of how Mike Yates joined UNIT but it's the highlight of the first three of these for sure a good example of how I like UNIT being written (ultimately good but misguided because they're too trigger happy)

Doctor Who fans, the Timeless Child storyline was very controversial for a number of reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is it suggested that the Doctor isn’t really a Time Lord.
