jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 15hSame popped out to get some tucker and back to bed. First one was rescued from my neighbours walled patio it couldn't get out of it was only little but not too small to need a rescue. Then spotted another bum in the feeding station. Both doing well, pretty much fully grown now. 110
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Got one a while back and glad I did as my neighbour found a little one trapped in their walled patio. Feeding it up for hibernation after advice from a rescue and chuffed it's decided to stay. Then wondering how it ate so much caught another on camera in the feeding station. Need another house now! 000
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Spent some time between the rain showers cat proofing the cat proof hedgehog feeding station after catching this on the camera. 🙄 I love all critters but cats really do piss me off when it comes to protecting our wildlife. No cat pics last night, hope it stays that way. 😠 161
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Someones bloody cat nicked their food last night. Hopefully cat proofed enough now. 010
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Damn! Was planning to try a couple more pots this morning after taking down the sun shades and managed to cut a deep v shape in my finger. Blood dripping everywhere and now a very throby hurty finger. Annoyed with myself now. 😠 440
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 01/10/2026So before we left we had a bit of a party and gave away all the toys and goodies people had collected. Those 2 amazing doctors were up all night giving their own blood to save a new born. They hadn't been paid in 3 months. Little Lena (age 15) was my best mate while I was there. ❤️ 010
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 01/10/2026As they got braver, we gave them paper and paints and discovered Denis was an amazing artist. He was in his element and it was a joy to behold. 120
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 01/10/2026We didn't see any children, wondering if there were actually any there. Then when us artists started to do our bit, doors started to open with little eyes peeping out. They had nothing, no toys, no paper no pencils or crayons. Rooms were bare. They wanted Disney, so I did Disney. 120
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 01/10/2026When we arrived it was shocking, the stench got into our very pores. This was the shower, the operating theater wasn't much better. The floor shook when lorries drove past. 100
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 01/10/2026RIP Esther. I sincerely hope she didn't suffer as terribly as both my parents did. This is when I met her in Russia when I volunteered to help with the Kosmo Children's hospital appeal. What an incredible experience that was. Couldn't post more when I tried so will add to comments later. 370
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Managed to get the new wifi camera set up to keep a close eye on Hodgeheg. 140
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 23/09/2026She grumped because she doesn't like the tarp I've got down for the potters wheel and it's too near her bed, then I got a dirty look because I walked in front of the sun shine. 😂 270
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Oh no, hope it doesn't last long. No cats here so have a cute Chinese Crested doglet (nearly cats). 130
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Plucked up the courage to start a pottery throwing course last week 😁. So set up the wheel my son got me today in the conservatory, still a bit rubbish but did get better at centering today at least. 4120
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Hah! Caught hodgeheg emerging from the house, so seems it did indeed spend the night there as I suspected it has. 😁 070
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Not a great photo but chuffed baby hedgepig is back, was rather upset when thought I had lost him/her. 😍🥰 A decent wildlife camera will have to go on my xmas list methinks. 3121
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 20/08/2026I really should be getting on with stuff but watching longingly at all the storms and again everywhere but the bit in the middle where I am. Promises some rain later but we shall see. 230
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Not a great pic for me either but absolutely chuffed the new door got it's first visitor straight away, heading off to find the food and spending several hours in the garden. Which food do you give yours? 010
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Got it on at last. Now I can put food out for the hedgehog without the foxes or cats getting it first. Will be watching like a hawk tonight. Everything crossed! If they come there will be a nice snug hibernation house on the cards as well soon. Get in there hedgepigs! 🦔 170
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 17/08/2026Looks like it's avoiding us again. Loads of the stuff north of Watford Gap. 100
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 17/08/2026And completely avoiding us again! I swear there's some force preventing any rain in a line from Bristol to Norfolk. 😂 110
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 12/08/2026@octopus.energy #OctoEclipse My competition effort. Brought to you by high tech colander. 140
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Tot Trumps- I raise you completely matching Mum made outfits. The hair! OMG the hair! 🤣 220
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Me! Chubby cheeks. God I hated that itchy dress, worse still my sis had one so feared I was doomed for the hand me down but was old enough to voice my objections by then. 270
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 12/08/2026My Mum and Dad. Making use of indoor time going through the suitcase of photos. Chucking loads out as no idea who they are and feels like I'm throwing lives away. Bit sad as no grandchildren or anyone left who might be interested in our past. 😢 130
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Phew! Knackered now as it was so compacted and took ages raking it out but a good few bags of nice compost to go in the raised beds. Years worth of mostly food waste I don't tend to have a lot of. 4110
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 09/08/2026Exactly 🤣 I also never have the size I actually need anyway. Oh on that note, how would you put this heavy unit on the wall, my son was going to do it but we chickened out. 000
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Thank you for that. I feed the ones at the end of my garden every night, never hand fed though as I don't want them getting used to that, too many want to kill them in the countryside, although I did have one get very friendly. I hope it's ok. 030
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 07/08/2026A Wickes delivery later got the ex rat run filled up but now on dog watch as Pringle has decided the compost is tastier than dog food. Caught in the act! Think I might have to wait a bit before repairing the top of the wall. 271
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Confucius was right, doodled this some years ago as a reminder. It's too easy to forget. But I do think your pebbles are much bigger than mine so those bulldozers definitely needed. Fantastic to see the progress ❤️ 011
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 02/08/2026The job I've been putting off all week with all the deflection jobs, made progress today as my son came and did the worse bit by digging out the compacted soil so I could line it down to ground level. Had slabs on originally but after discovering a rat in it they had to go. So will now be a planter. 240
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 31/07/2026My two current ones over the back fence. Used to have badgers here as well but they vanished 2 years ago 😢 Don't see deer so often now either as they fenced their vast garden in when they got a dog but the odd one gets through. 130
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 31/07/2026Oh please, please keep doodling Alice! Nice pens, plenty of nice pens helps. Tom's Studio Lumos refillable is on my xmas list. Alice needs one too! 😁 000
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 31/07/2026OK I'm taking it personally now 🤣 watched it longingly all day on my raintracker yesterday, morning band of rain just above us, afternoon band of rain just below us. Not a drop-again! 471
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 29/07/2026Seems not taking Pringle to the vet was the right call. After a day of 'shall I shan't I' and 'is she going to die' if I don't dilemma she's recovering nicely. Even wanted to come on a short walk just now and although she's only eaten a tiny bit of my quiche she has drunk plenty and perked up a lot. 2110
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 26/07/2026It hasn't helped much, field across the road. Surprised they haven't cut it before now it's been ready for a couple of weeks now. 251
jojitsu @joti.bsky.social · 26/07/2026We got a bit, enough to see wet ground when I got up but all gone now, it's been missing in action between Bristol and Peterborough since May. Giant sunflowers looking a bit happier though. Hoping enough now elsewhere to prevent more fires. 020
