PSA ----- (1) "extant" means "surviving" so when you say "extant literature" you're implying some literature has been lost. (2) "cf." or "confer" means "see in contrast" not "see as example" so you're implying that the citation gives different argument than the present text.

If I submit my paper to 5 journals before it gets published, and each journal requires 3 reviewers, thats 15 reviewers per paper. Is everybody completing as many reviews as they require from others? Or are some people carrying the lions share of the burden?

Obviously DeepSeek won't talk openly about Taiwan. But the glitchy thing is, it gives answers first, and then deletes them! It checks its answers after typing them, not before, I guess. In the screenshot below, a real argument appeared and then was replaced with the censorship message.

Received a review request from a physics journal. I am a social scientist. Finally found my pragmatic answer to "is this physics?" Answer: "Are the peer-reviewers physicists?" I suggested that the paper get desk-rejected with the advice to resubmit to an interdisciplinary journal.
