Dems/left leaning folk complaining about CNN/FOX and other news stations... Crooked media is setting an example of what to do. Start your own. Boost others who are aligned and do your best to create more networks. Complaining isn't really cutting it.

With most of the news behind a paywall it’s a small wonder the majority of people tend to get their news from headlines only at best and rando TikTok’s at worst. Democracy gonna die in “like and subscribe if you want more”

Shocking! How is this even legal! Outrageous! Unbelievable! Must see! I skim the news for 2 minutes and this is the lead on everything. If everything is outrageous then nothing is. How far from breaking news is broken news? Algorithms are breaking people’s ability to sort useful information.

I think it should be illegal for bots to act like humans. I realize this is strange right now cause this is all so new. But seriously. I think we’re getting manipulated by a bunch of bots and gullible people and normal people caught up because what looks like trends are just servers of bots.

I don't know what's worse. Getting treated like we're stupid or demonstrably being stupid. Deepseek is released. It's not bad. o3 is suddenly free. y'all realize when companies compete they take money out of their pockets and put it into their products. Otherwise it's just shareholders gaining

What kills Dems is that liberals first priority is kill the left, squash dissent from anything remotely populist and then start to organize to come up with a committee to study how they need to figure out how to politely engage in a bipartisan effort to work on good policy issues with the right.

no offense but Trump voters are here for the chaos. They think it's necessary to achieve a better government. They also don't care about liberal tears, they love when we're outraged. Also like 40% of them don't watch, never listen to the news... so these such tweets are just shouting into the void.

I just started a calculus source because I have always wanted to learn it. I was stuck on a question. My gf (who is chinese) made fun of me for 10 minutes for not knowing. There's a math deficiency in America. She went to art school in China and got more math classes than I did :(

Two things need to change: one centrists first enemy being leftists. And leftists first enemy being democrats. Unless that gets some unity the democrats gonna just be starting off with attacks on itself before even to start talking about Republicans wackiness.

Currently Tim Caine style centrists (AND TO BE CLEAR I LIKE HIM!) are the type/style leading the party. We 100% need those folk. But we also need a 55%-60% winning strategy and they can’t deliver that without a wider appeal. Something they’re both fighting and not capable of.

Dem’s treated people who treated our border like a suggestion, as though they were a protected class, worthy of empathy and compassion. Which meant effectively any comment like: “I think this isn’t making our democracy better.” Was RACISM! The backlash to this has been… awful.

Obama deported more people than Republicans have. Mainly because unlike these clowns he’s good at his job and an effective leader. At least when r’s get rid of presidential term limits he can run again 🤣

010

josh oftenly @joshoftenly.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

The right peddles in grievance. The left has actively been saying if you’re feeling aggrieved you’re wrong. Which is a form of gaslighting to all the people struggling. And they lose people for it. We needed a few hundred thousand people to show up. They didn’t. Because why?

000

josh oftenly @joshoftenly.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

While the left lampoons the right over here on bsky, the right is actually trying to do something the left never did. Which is change the media/culture landscape into something good for people. Sadly their idea of “good for people” is based on mysticism and an idea of masculinity that’s wild.

I’m from Kentucky. I left Kentucky because it was no longer a place where I could seek opportunity and work. That hasn’t changed. That’s a travesty. And it’s a huge change from generations ago. And the left has done nothing to make Kentucky livable. In fairness neither has the right.

010

josh oftenly @joshoftenly.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

I think the left doesn’t really understand the right in any meaningful way other than that they correctly identify the racism, idiocy and mysticism of it. But it doesn’t understand what it gets correct. Things a lot of the left agree on with them.
