Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving weekend! The Wychwood Barns Farmers Market is one of my favorite places in the city. It’s where we support local farmers and vendors, buy fresh produce, delicious food and gifts, and where our community comes together.

Every Toronto tenant should have a home that’s safe, healthy and affordable. And if your landlord is neglectful, and doesn’t respect your rights, you need to know that City Hall has your back. That’s what I’ve been fighting for, and we’ve achieved some big wins. But there’s a lot more work to do.

Truth and Reconciliation Day is so important. I’ve seen groups of school kids in orange shirts, gathering in our local parks with their teachers to learn about the injustice, racism, horrors & trauma that Indigenous children experienced through Canada’s residential school system.

Together, we fought back against Doug Ford’s proposal to expand Billy Bishop Airport with jets. We advocated for a plan for our city’s waterfront that includes an accessible regional airport, economic development, beautiful parks and healthy neighbourhoods.

I was in Cabbagetown today to support the 24th Annual Toronto Partners Hike for Hospice, with Hospice Toronto, Philip Aziz Centre, Emily’s House, and the Grace Hospital Palliative Care Unit. With over 300 participants, the event raises funds and awareness for hospice & palliative care…

The Meighen Health Centre is such a special place, where people can age, and receive the care they need, with dignity. It is also a community full of people I care about, including the staff, residents and their families. It was a true pleasure to be there with them today.
