Ezra Klein has made this point time and again on his podcast- For Democrats, the currency of politics is still money. For Republicans, the currency of politics is attention.

We need to distinguish between AI models that are derivative of many other models and AI models that are deliberately generated to look like specific human models.

I think that concern is orthogonal to the bigger one- replacing human talent with AI.

If this can be done non-profits should be lining up to support this effort on a mass scale.

Serious question- why didn’t they just cancel it? It seems like it stands for everything they are against. Someone should ask the Press Secretary what the President did yesterday to celebrate the event.

I know there will be a LOT of criticism of this but it shows where universities are heading. Small schools will simply crumble if they can’t adapt. Students will turn to LinkedIn learning if we can’t train them for the AI-powered economy.

Yes, saying “Reagan might as well have written this book himself” is comically inaccurate. You are conflating “reduce EIA laws” with “deregulate entire industries.”

I think a central (unspoken) tension in the book involves the elimination of processes intended to produce environmental justice in favor of outcomes that EJ advocates seek to obtain.

Yes! Nowhere in the book do they discuss the stagnation of wages and the exponential increase in executive compensation. This is a huge problem.
