🙏 🌱 📸 My superpower? I can get prayer plants to grow in nothing but water (and under it!). The one submerged kinda just... grew, one day. It's continue to just grow. I've not added any nutrients into this. It's just tap water. I really should pot her up, sometime. But I am fascinated.

Part of the prayer plant is growing a second prayer plant fully underwater.

Her leaves. She fell off the main plant one day.

If this winter in Atlantic Canada is similar to 1997-1998 winter, then I predict (from my memory of being 7 at the time): Very bad sleet/freezing rain. I don't recall the amount of time we were off school, but it was close to two weeks. The trees were encased in ice, all of them. So, lots of that.
