Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 18/08/2026If you guys are looking for something to do while waiting, a "big picture"/controller supported UI for the Steam Deck or Steam Machine would be a good differentiator from Discord 111
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 25/07/2026Shaping up to be a good discord alternative then! Just need the mobile apps 010
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 23/07/2026It’s hosted by goodfeeds and they might’ve started charging for it. I don’t really maintain it anymore, sorry 110
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 14/07/2026Yeah I've been trying to look. I was able to see the UI on my US iPhone during the beta for 26.5, but now I can't see it again. Maybe it was a bug during the beta that let people outside of the EU get it? Doesn't seem to be there on the 27 Beta, updating a test device to 26 to check there 🤷♂️ 000
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 14/07/2026You mentioned the notification forwarding for iOS was EU only. I think this has expanded to the US as well now 100
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 05/06/2026I think it’s a critical mass issue. Reddit has a backlog of years and years of posts and data that is hard to compete with. Also, without native apps, the amount of people who want to use a web app in their phone isn’t the highest. 000

Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 11/05/2026Hmm. I don’t really use it anymore, whatever service I was using maybe stopped or required payment now. I just follow along with a list now 🤷🏻♂️ 200
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 16/04/2026Cool idea. How do you get it to share with the pictures with the color in the top left? 000
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 04/04/2026Been a while since I worked on this. Went to port it to @repebble.com's new app store, and I guess it's time to update this for the two new watches 000
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 31/03/2026I think notification forwarding has appeared on iPhones in the US now with the latest beta 000
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 09/03/2026Seems to be different behaviors with posts that do contain images 110
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 07/02/2026I'm not sure, I haven't looked into it. Theres places that you can pretty easily make feeds of your own though and you can tailor it to what you like 010
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 07/02/2026Yeah I kinda like keeping tabs on the projects they're working on. Maybe I'll rename it at some point 110
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 05/02/2026I wholeheartedly recommend signal. It’s open source, transparent, and the gold standard of privacy, it just doesn’t interop with other platforms 130
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 04/02/2026I also think open and federated are the way forward, and I also love Signal, but it's kind of an important distinction that Signal isn't federated, and doesn't interop with any other platforms 130
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 26/01/2026@sprk.so is an entirely different AppView built on atproto, not just a Bluesky filter 060
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 17/01/2026Was very confused when I couldn’t log into the Android Apple Music app when I had my account protected by a security key 010
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 14/01/2026Private accounts or private DMs? Are they the same effort or distinct problems to solve? 000
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 26/12/2025The Mona for Mastodon / Spring for Twitter apps were really good for this behavior 000
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 16/12/2025Ever considered uploading your videos to Floatplane? I'd like to contribute to your channel to watch without ads and without Google 000
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 12/12/2025Sorry to dig this up again. Looking at this picture and some of the test units that went out it seems like there’s an air gap between the screen and the glass. Is this a preproduction thing or is the shipping watch going to be like this? Looks more Pebble Time than Pebble Time Steel 100
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 12/12/2025Why did a matchup between two NFC teams matter for the chiefs elimination? 100
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 12/12/2025I feel like @frontpage.fyi has been pretty quiet for a long time now. Still no sub communities or anything like that 000
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 12/12/2025The vine relaunch is being built on nostr which feels like such a miss with atproto sitting right there 010
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 21/11/2025Any progress on timeline sync? Out remembering where I was in my timeline when I come back to the app? 010
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 19/11/2025Would love it if all these worked offline so I didn't have to be afraid of my roomba giving someone access to a roaming camera in my home 110

Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 17/10/2025Is the screen not laminated to the glass like on the original PTS? I can’t tell but it looks like there’s an air gap 110
Josh Holme 📎 @josh.holme.social · 10/10/2025I think the equation is different if you don’t have the ability to charge at home or work and need to rely on public charging 210
