You don't even have facts to reply. That says all. Have a good day and maybe take the time to learn.

Did you know that "hellhole" had GDP % growths in average greater than the whole next period after Thatcher? Because I doubt you would have used precisely the example that destabilise your argument.

Do you know that Reagan, Bush Sr and Bush Jr made several cut taxes and financials deregulations that not only didn't prevent the rich to abandon the country but worst, their reforms presided the US deindustrialisation with factories moving to Mexico and Asia? So, what are you talking about?

You seem the one to not have read about capitalism. Do you know how much percentage was taxed to the upper class taxpayers in the US during the postwar until the 60s? Can you tell me? Then we can talk about "tax to death" (again, unserious).

Inmigración como tapadera de racismo porque la pobreza aparentemente les da lo mismo, solo les importa el color con la que la ven. Esa faltó agregar.

Again, greedy and short-sighted. So suddenly free-market treaties can be achieved but not agreements to enforce tax payments? Let's be serious. And believe me, billionaires are not running out of money, quite the opposite. That is the problem.

30,000 [!] job losses. The marketisation of UK higher education and the 'business case' mentality seem so deeply ingrained that some seem to read this as a "healthy correction". What is "healthy" about the dismantling and decline of higher education? #HigherEd

So bleak
Two-thirds of universities told the survey they were considering alliances or mergers, while 31 per cent were cutting academic research, up from 14 per cent in 2024. This includes reducing funding for PhD and young researchers, as well as giving academics less time for their own projects.
The survey also found 44 per cent of respondents were cutting courses, up from 24 per cent in 2024, with programmes in modern languages, English literature, history and chemistry badly hit.
The Department for Education said it had
"already taken action to put universities on a firmer financial footing".
"We expect universities to take appropriate decisions to ensure their long-term
sustainability, which could be merging with another institution and more collaboration in the sector, it added

Your regular reminder that in 2023 I was asked on Women’s Hour to be interviewed by Emma Barnett about Alice’s inquest. I said no, because Emma is GC, but I’d go on with someone else. They didn’t engage with me after that. The BBC is biased. It’s anti-trans and anti-anyone who supports trans people.

This is what disappoints me most of left-wing parties, especially those who have born to challenge the neoliberal status quo: discipline and clarity og goals are downplayed by theorical debates instead of exerting power to change things.

So, different from what their voters think of these policies, I think this shows how the governing elite thinks about the state (and that is beyond Trump, let us think about DOGE, for example).

I'm not a PhD yet (I hope so! Haha), but thank you. Anyways, I was just pointing out the difference because somehow I agree that the US government acts as blurring the distinction between Trump and the state, but deeply are other economic motives, as you described them.

But this is different. Not even Early Modern European despots had a clear nationalization policy. Sometimes, the opposite (like with colonization, that was usually left to private actors under monarchical rule).

No idea about what you think because you haven't argued, but I just want to clarify that verbally attacking or despising someone isn't an argument neither gives you any win. The opposite, actually.

Many Republicans changed towards the Democratic Party under Roosevelt. Even more, the senator Norris among others were key for the passing of some bills under the Roosevelt administration. That idea the getting older is getting conservative is ignorance.

As a foreign guy interested in global politics, I am surprised that a UK polutical party is divided in matters of foreign policy. As a former empire, a leftist party, I think, should be aware that the UK state must exercise prudently its power to svoid neocolonialism and support human rights overall

It’s important to note “those with the most severe and debilitating disabilities would not lose any money.” But we know too often state tests are not accurate in judging “severe”, just as we know people with less severe conditions still face vast expenses and discrimination.

No soy economista así que lo que digo son leseras tal vez, pero me parece evidente que un problema de mediano plazo, como la baja productividad, se encontró con el shock económico causado por este gobierno y eso creó factores que retroalimentan la recesión.
