One of the weirdest things I experienced in 35 years of practice were that most women who married psychopaths were not from broken and abusive families, but came from loving secure families. Why then? They trusted all the world and its people to be good, and excused the early signs of psychopathy!

PTSD is like your nervous system is permanently in survival mode, like a life threatening event can happen at any moment, like little irritants feel like major stresses, like your anger fuse is so short you dont have time to think before you react, like you cant trust people or the world you live in

Remember what you focus on in life will tend to expand within your mind, so if you are focussing on negative stuff, it will begin to connect with every other negative memory/neural pathway and fill your mind with negativity

Scientific Misinformation about Statins. Statins study stating taking them only adds 4.5 days of life. Study only looked at patients tht were still alive. Studies that included deaths from cardiovascular disease found statins added 9 years of life. B careful about what u hear or read = look deeper.

When estranged from children, You are not letting go of them; you are letting go of the role you thought you would play in their daily life. You are letting go of the future you envisioned. Write letters to your child that you dont send a letter to self. Pour out everything you wish you could say,

Validation & Self-Worth: Studies on relationship satisfaction show that for many men, sexual interest from a partner serves as direct validation of being desired and valued as a romantic partner, rather than just a roommate or provider.

Emotional Expressiveness Socialization: Social conditioning frequently discourages men from open verbal vulnerability. For many, sex becomes a safe, non-verbal space where they feel fully accepted, wanted, and emotionally safe with their partner.

Primary Love Language: Psychological frameworks highlight physical touch as a primary way many people—statistically more men than women—interpret love. Without it, they often report feeling neglected, rejected, or disconnected, regardless of verbal affirmation or shared tasks.

Testosterone drives sexual desire, but in committed relationships, fulfilling sexual activity works synergistically with neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin to reinforce romantic satisfaction and trust.

Oxytocin the "bonding hormone," surges during physical touch, arousal, and orgasm. For many men, physical closeness acts as the primary neurochemical trigger for emotional vulnerability, warmth, and attachment.

Can you fully be yourself in your relationship? If not, what holds you back, is it something about you and your past, or is it the way your partner responds when you have fully been yourself?

In a relationship it is important to ask for your needs to be met. Your partners response will give you lots of information about your relationship health.

Another secret to good mental health, "Catch yourself in negative thinking, challenge the thought, and if its irrational or rational and there;s nothing you can do about it, refuse to engage in the thought and refocus your mind back to the present moment and what you need to do".

What would I recommend for good physical and mental health. Regular dinner/bbq social events with friends and family. Preparing healthy meals, eating healthy and socializing with friends and family. Then going for an after dinner walk with everyone. This nails a lot of it.

The secret to a successful relationship is the requirement of 2 people to both make contributions, to both have feelings for each other, to both have passion, to both have commitment, to both have a shared purpose and meaning, to both repair any ruptures in the relationship, & to both be faithful.

The Rich and Powerful have always understood that the human instinct for tribalism can be exploited to redirect the anger of the general populace to other tribal members of the populace to distract from their own culpability for the greed, corruption and exploitation of the that general populace.

The earliest forms of the mammalian brain focussed on survival, with emphasis on fight or flight, sex and reproduction, satiating hunger, & tribal loyalty. The new brain (neocortex) evolved for intellectual thought, planning & morality. The problem is the old brain still wins out.

Democracy was supposed to be the answer to keep narcissists and psychopaths away from the levers of power, but tribalism and corruption has allowed a narcissistic psychopath to rule the most powerful nation on earth and we are all feeling the terrible chaos & consequences in this moment in time.

The world is a scary place at the moment, and I'd imagine this is affecting most peoples mental well-being. Some hope to cling to = History shows the world and nations, go through periods where they turn towards the Darkness, and then always turn back towards the light. Do what you can

The human nervous system's primary function of survival is what leaves even good human beings vulnerable to corruption. Its how you get good humans to become corrupt, (threaten their life or their loved one's lives) it takes immense courage to fight corruption that threatens one's survival.

Need more proof heaven and hell are concepts dreamed up by people who didn't know where the sun went at night? Jimmy Swaggart died, but he lived like hell doesn't exist. So does Copeland, Graham, Osteen, Dobson, Paula White, Robertson, etc etc.. They worship money and lust for power. Hypocrites

When something bad happens to you and you correctly assess you are totally powerless to do anything about it, the last thing you have control over is how you react to it and what you tell yourself about it!

One of the few areas of total control yo have in life, is your mind and what you tell yourself. You cant control whats happening in the world but you can control what you tell yourself about it.

How psychological narratives determine how you behave = Bucks party "Groom to be" can tell himself its his last chance to have sex with sum1 else before marriage or his first chance when tempted to be faithful to his wife to be!
