Like, I’m not disagreeing that LLMs generate this phrase” (as you’ve proven), but more that phrases like this and “let me explain” are used by people with Algorithm Brain whether or not they use LLM tools themselves. But the crazy part is I didn’t do a good job of letting myself explain.

Fair enough! I still think that could be a feedback loop of phrases that surfaced as engagement drivers in the algorithm being fed back into LLM training data, but in the end the distinction probably doesn’t matter that much

Generally agreed, but in this case I think this has less to do w/ generating scripts and more with people using stock phrases like this and “Let Me Explain” to try to game engagement for the algorithm. You’re still basically letting AI effectively write your script, just a scrolling AI vs an LLM.

It is, though for her it’d probably add 15-30min to the commute. But even w/out the recent congestion pricing, it’s gotta be like 4 times more expensive just factoring in tolls and gas. Plus, there are plenty of places in NJ that are just as close to downtown Manhattan for the same cost of living.

Every time some free parking in this city is on deck to be removed, they always seem to find some whining schmuck who had already manufactured for themself the most financially and temporally inefficient commute known to man.

Lmao not only is the main cited study from 2021 making the youngest person in their range *9*, looking at the actual study the question limits it to partners you’ve had since you were 18 so the Gen Z comparison is even more ridiculous and doesn’t even include half the generation!
