Really good performance from Wales that. Thomas and Dan James excellent throughout – a constant threat. After a shaky start and Norway taking advantage of sloppiness at the back, really cut the errors out and great value for the win. Could have been more comfortable after the red, several chances

Not a great deal of highlights as a Blade so far this season, but I was personally really satisfied to identify the Sky feed’s co-comms for our match vs Bolton the other month as Andy Walker.

One of the most fun United players to watch in the 35 years I’ve been watching us. Ridiculous ability to work with no obvious space available, and a huge reason we got got promoted in 22/23. It’ll forever be a “what if…?” moment for us re: the new contract that summer…

Certainly didn’t have a Shackleton-RND wingback system on my 2026/27 season bingo card. To be fair, Rhys was probably one of our best players 2nd half. Probably fortunate to leave with a point but with a bit more care in the final third could have had 3.

Would think Wilder might change the shape here if it continues like this – perhaps switching to wingbacks with McCallum & Doherty, and Phillips should probably come on. Cardiff have problems at the back too – if we can deal with the danger better it’s there to be won.

Entertaining half but all sorts of problems for United here, particularly on our right – Baptiste & Donovan positionally look unaware of the danger half the time, and not switched on. Peck & Rothwell have lost the ball cheaply in middle – cost us for the 1st and nearly again before h/t #bskyblades

I think until we get the loans in Wilder spoke about, those late subs we saw in RND and Shacks or similar to come in and help close it out for a draw are probably the best we could hope for. It wasn’t a game to risk what we had and switch up a formation that was functionally working reasonably well

Didn’t come to Swansea expecting us to get anything, but in the end perhaps unlucky not to leave without all three. Not a free flowing game at any stage, but one we grew into and mostly comfortable throughout. The back 5 defensively really solid. O’Hare v unlucky 1st half against the bar #bskyblades

A grim read. I’ve seen some fans suggesting to wait for the other side’s story, but it feels like wishful thinking given the owners haven’t said much of anything on anything approaching 2 years in charge. If there were a defence, surely would have emerged well before it reached this v public stage

Have also never ever seen a game before where the 6ft5 lone striker is deployed as the long throw specialist. So maybe not wholly forgettable tbf… #bskyblades

Very forgettable half of football this. Peck and Rothwell have to have a few more ideas than they’ve shown. Bamford, O’Hare and Cannon in particular need to show a lot more. Donovan likely to be a frustrating player but is at least trying stuff. Really solid half for Tanganga #bskyblades

The Peak District is burning — and where there’s fire, there’s smoke. Given Sheffield’s proximity to the park, it feels inevitable that, if more frequent and severe fires keep happening on the moors, they are going to have an increasing effect on us. The question is, can we do anything about it?

A disappointing decision from the UK NSC published today. But the model stays alive, and so does this campaign. We’ll keep working to strengthen the case. Because men deserve it. Read our full statement: pcr.org.uk/uk-nsc-confirmed-recommendation-to-restrict-prostate-cancer-screening/

Just end the season already. The players aren’t up for it, everyone’s just looking for the break and to forget this season ever happened. Preston haven’t got that memo – fair play to Hecky and McCall for getting them vaguely up for a match today, even tho they’ve had it v easy all half #bskyblades

Maddening. Really good performance 1st half, deserved goal, good balance across the side. Norwich upped their game in the 2nd, we never really dealt with it + v poor decision-making with the ball – really cheaply turned over. Tanganga & Bindon deserved more for their defensive displays #bskyblades

Wasn’t thrilled by United’s starting lineup, so that 1st half display came as a bit of a shock – it’s been really good, and tbf a big part of it has been the Hoever/Chong link-up on the right. Peck has been excellent – great ball in the buildup for the 1st. Excellent finish by Campbell #bskyblades

A mad 10 minutes really for those three goals. The performance overall deserved more I felt. Frustrating that we had so many shots on target that have hit Coventry defenders, and the first one they have on goal with 3 players in between has somehow gone through all of them.

Joseph Clift @josephclift.bsky.social · 25/02/2026
Good half, competitive game. We’ve done well to move the ball quickly when pressing Coventry’s defence into a hurried pass. They look v dangerous on the break, and slightly worried with Tanganga on a yellow early on. Wright should absolutely score for them, not sure how Seriki got to it #bskyblades

‘Andor’ Creator Tony Gilroy Gives the Interview He Couldn’t During Its Release
The recent tragedies on the streets of Minnesota’s Twin Cities have reignited the discourse about the uncanny prescience of Tony Gilroy‘s Andor. The well-documented killings of Minneapolis residents, Renée Good and Alex Pretti, by federal agents evoked Andor season two’s Ghorman Massacre arc in which the masked occupying forces of the Galactic Empire slaughtered concerned citizens and peaceful protestors. And much like Good and Pretti, Ghorman’s victims were immediately mischaracterized by Imperial mouthpieces as domestic terrorists and insurrectionists.

Really odd scrappy game that we could have won – neither side really looked in control at any point. Andre Brooks superb though – a real all-action performance, and a fine finish after good work from Hamer. McCallum’s injury put a downer on the game – hope it’s not as serious as it looks #bskyblades

Joseph Clift @josephclift.bsky.social · 17/01/2026
Bizarre game. Completely in control 1st half and then down to 9 men out of nowhere. The Soumare red sounds like on replays it was well deserved – can’t say the Tanganga one looked like an elbow at all. Huge credit to the players that 2nd half for keeping it a contest – fought til the end #bskyblades

I can still see vividly the Davis/Gerrard disaster that cost us 3 points in that one. Every single error of that type that season is writ large in the memory given that had any of them not happened it would have been enough to stay up. Maddening.

Could easily be forgotten amidst the standout performances from Bindon & O’Hare, but Tanganga made one brilliant interception first half before the red card to deny a potential 1 on 1 that could have changed how the game turned out. A really good run out for Arblaster too – ideal for his recovery

Joseph Clift @josephclift.bsky.social · 20/12/2025
There’s been well-established redemption arcs for players in Wilder’s time – most notably with Coutts & Freeman in his first spell – and I wonder whether Tyler Bindon might turn out to be the latest. 1st game I’ve seen him play live since his dire game at Middlesbro – he was superb today #bskyblades

Really interesting read that goes into where specifically the party votes have drifted from/to. This would be a seismic political shift in Wales if this picture holds – and for Labour in particular this is likely to signal more alarm bells on their broader approach in Westminster

Joseph Clift @josephclift.bsky.social · 12/12/2025
A worrying 2nd half that, I can understand why Wilder was clearly hugely annoyed. I’m assuming if more of the team were still ill he wouldn’t have gone in quite so hard Some really poor decision making. Hamer doesn’t do well for either goal, McGuinness has to be much stronger for the 2nd #bskyblades

With the way the respective seasons have panned out so far, I was concerned going into this derby. Needn’t have been – that was as straightforward as you can get for one of these. A really good team performance. Pleased for Campbell, who’s had a mixed season. Tanganga & Peck excellent #bskyblades

On prostate cancer, there’s a welcome commitment to support patients on active surveillance in gaining access to regular PSA testing – with some better functionality on this via the NHS App. Some mention too of at-home tests from 2027 – will need to address the current variable quality of these

Enjoyed this. The theme tune of Alex Kidd in Miracle World is still ingrained in the brain, which was a built-in feature of the Master System model we had – a source of joy when you wanted to play it, a source of frustration when its sound meant an issue with the console reading another cartridge

We’ve wasted so much of One’s development this yr. Didn’t loan him out in Jan. Didn’t loan him out in the summer. Similar attributes to Osula but one of the last to get a look in. If you’re someone like Beattie on their way up in the academy you’d surely question staying based on this approach

Joseph Clift @josephclift.bsky.social · 03/11/2025
We have a squad that’s simultaneously large but with little depth in key decisions. Desperately need Tom Davies to stay fit, need Tanganga in the middle (if it means dropping McGuinness so be it) and I’d like to see what Ryan Oné could do in a 2 with Campbell (who would likely also benefit)

Joseph Clift @josephclift.bsky.social · 03/11/2025
I’m not sure how this system aims to either sure up the defence or create decent chances. Tanganga hands down our best CB but we’re playing him in a wider role. Campbell as a back-to-goal linking forward isn’t effective and just looks isolated whenever played through in the channels. It’s a mess

Taken a couple of days to digest what was really poor United performance against Derby on Saturday. All 3 goals against of our own making – messing about at the back that led to their corner for the 1st, a terrible back-pass for the 2nd, totally avoidable penalty for the 3rd. V worrying #bskyblades
