I'm not sure if the article had "Who Funds Reform?" before I posted the above (not sure it did - but either way, good that it's got it now). Would make sense to also edit the URL to include those words too (and setting up a 301 redirect from the old URL to the new URL too, of course).

More recently in this July 2025 AMA @greenparty.org.uk Reddit thread www.reddit.com/r/UKGreens/c... he said: 3/
"I'm pleased to see the government say that new builds will now have solar on them (that should have happened a long time ago!) But we also need major investment in lots of infrastructure with a particular focus on community infrastructure. That's because it reduces peoples bills, is good for the planet and crucial encourages democratic decision making in communities. This is essential to fight off the challenge of the right. Far too many people feel - and are accurate - that things are being done to them rather than with them. Community energy can play a huge part in this." – Zack Polanski, Leader, ‪The Green Party of England & Wales‬

Hi @glynhudson.bsky.social this screenshot would seem to suggest you've played around with the @heat-geek.bsky.social Nano Store? Are you (or Heat Geek) able to share the data you previously shared there here? Thanks!

👏 Great news! Keep up the great work! I've one *tiny* gripe with the website... it seems to be inadvertently normalising and promoting flying with the inclusion of this image 😛

It seems you actually know Bridport is in Dorset but somehow the headline and captions saying it's in Devon *still* got through! 🤦 @rowanmoore.bsky.social @theobserveruk.bsky.social @tortoisemedia.bsky.social
Screenshot from the body of the same Observer article showing the correct location: “on the edge of Bridport, the Dorset town known for its literary festival, cider and a famous hat shop.” This contrasts with earlier incorrect references to “Devon.”

👋 @tortoisemedia.bsky.social Bridport is in Dorset!
Screenshot from The Observer article titled “Review: Hazelmead, Devon – the UK’s largest co-housing project,” dated Sunday 4 May 2025. The location is incorrectly listed as Devon; Hazelmead is in Bridport, Dorset.

👏 @rowanmoore.bsky.social great to see you covering #Bridport #Cohousing - but FYI Bridport is in #Dorset not Devon 😉
Screenshot of a Observer article misidentifying Bridport as being in Devon instead of Dorset. The headline reads: “Hazelmead’s 53 new homes have been hard won but cost less than £10m.” The location is listed twice as “Bridport, Devon.”

My family & I are going on an exciting #interrail trip this summer! 🚄 We'll visit Brussels, Rotterdam, Berlin, Prague & Amsterdam! I just got new passports for my kids, and I'm sad they're not the purple #EU ones. Upset with those who voted for #Brexshit taking away our rights! #Brexit #Rail #Travel
A hand holding two new British passports — officially dark blue but clearly black in appearance, much like the symbolic victory they represent in the post-Brexit saga of self-inflicted wounds.

That doesn't surprise me, but yes, it does! See e.g. this screenshot
Map from LandExplorer showing the land edged and hatched in red at 787 High Road, Goodmayes, Ilford (IG3 8TB), identified as BT Property IG0003, Goodmayes Telephone Exchange. The overlay indicates the property boundary in brown. A sidebar on the left provides property details: the leasehold owner is Arqiva Services Limited, with an address in Winchester. The title number is BGL91322 and the INSPIRE ID is 54447717.

TIL the *whole Internet* has the metadata for Barrington Levy's Original Ragga Muffin, Pt. 1 wrong. Most places have the tracks My Bible and Romantic muddled up. Try to listen to one and you get the other. Romantic is often called Buy Sensi too. Even Musicbrainz has the My Bible track length wrong!

I was in tears as I strolled to the shops the other day, thinking about this image and this paper www.nature.com/articles/s41893-023-… about how current policies leading to around 2.7 °C global warming could leave one-third (22–39%) of people outside the human niche. #ActonClimate
This image is a bar chart titled "Percentage of Species at Risk of Extinction by 2100." It compares the extinction risks for three categories of species (Vertebrates, Plants, and Insects) under three global warming scenarios: 1.5°C, 2°C, and 3.2°C.

    Vertebrates:
        4% at 1.5°C
        8% at 2°C
        26% at 3.2°C

    Plants:
        8% at 1.5°C
        16% at 2°C
        44% at 3.2°C

    Insects:
        6% at 1.5°C
        18% at 2°C
        49% at 3.2°C

The chart highlights the increasing risk of extinction as global temperatures rise, with Insects being the most affected group under higher warming scenarios. The source is credited as Warren et al., 2018, Science.

BTW @buffer.com you've not got your character limits for @bsky.app configured exactly right. Here is the exact same text pasted into Buffer and direct on Bluesky - spot the difference? Tip: 18 characters (I guess something to do with how links are counted?)

Wood also gives off LOTS more methane and nitrous oxide than either gas or oil. There are plenty of reasonable reasons why people continue to burn wood. But they shouldn't delude themselves about it somehow magically being better. It isn't. By most measures it's significantly worse.

Josef Davies-Coates @josef.is · 15/12/2024
Well seasoned wood is still very polluting. But yeah wet wood is even worse again. Smokeless coal actually better than wood. Briquettes better still. In terms of health damaging PM 2.5 pollution.

That's fun and I'm all for free contraceptives, but IMHO: "Human population growth — along with our reckless overconsumption — is driving the sixth mass extinction crisis." Is just the wrong way around to frame it. As per e.g. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
A screenshot taken from https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0006320722003949?via%3Dihub with the text:

Highlights

    • Population is often mistakenly blamed as the main driver of biodiversity loss.
    • However such arguments actually mis-apportion blame and hinder progress.
    • Consumption patterns, largely from developed economies is a major driver of biodiversity loss.
    • Maintaining global biodiversity will require reducing imported impacts.
    • Sustainable supply chains and diets are crucial to counter current trends.
