Apparently the DC police union said they agree "that crime is spiraling out of control" in DC, which is a perfect demonstration of why cops can't be trusted, because they don't operate in fact or reality anymore than Trump and the Republicans do.

Been a very busy last few weeks. I’m set to move from Indiana to Maryland on April 10th, so I’ve had a lot to do to prepare. I’m also trying to really get things going with my OPS and gather as much info as I can before I move, which tbh has added a lot of stress. #genealogy #familyhistory

It is clear that data critical to genealogy (and other disciplines) is being systematically stripped from federal websites. Census Bureau data IS being removed, and census data geeks at IPUMS verify and are taking whatever steps they can to preserve the data for the future. Scary times we live in.

Super excited because I have a job interview lined up this Saturday with the Clearwater Colored Cemeteries Society in Florida! The position runs from 1 Feb to 30 Jun and involves doing descendancy research for those buried in the cemeteries pre-1940. 1/2 #genealogy #familyhistory

Wrapped up Phase 1 of my very first paid client project last night! The project is focused on finding the parents of two German immigrant ancestors and was split into two phases, with the first focusing on finding their German names & towns of origin, which was successful!! 1/4

My 4th great grandfather Samuel Michael, and I want to ask about his first son John. John's mother Polly died around the time he was born, and Samuel soon left John with Polly's parents while he moved out-of-state to be near a brother. I want to ask how he came to the decision to leave John behind.
