The situation would not diffuse as my police officer classmates ran out of paper tickets to accommodate the number of protestors in the fake grass. Next stop: arrest. The officers took the protesting students, who hated our newspaper, to jail. Where they didn't have room to lock up the whole class.

Calvin led a protest through the middle of Exchange City, where my classmates marched and chanted "This paper sucks!" But we had Exchange City police. And a strict "no walking on the grass policy." Chaos was imminent. We begged the protestors to stop. We tried really hard! We yelled over screams.

All in all, we had about three hours to interview, regroup, and pull together the local stories. Once the papers were delivered, one of my classmates (named Calvin) thought what we wrote wasn't truthful about the business he was working for. He started chanting "This paper sucks!" Soon others joined

When the day came, us journalists set out to interview the local businesses (who were our classmates). We hand wrote our notes, then went to our newspaper building where we quickly typed up the stories and printed our Exchange City newspaper. Our paper delivery folks passed them out.

When I say little town, I mean that there was a warehouse dedicated to this. There was a mini town built on the inside of the building, complete with a courthouse, community park, and stores. This was the highlight of our 6th grade year and we all looked forward to it.

In 6th grade we went to a program called "Exchange City" where we worked in a little town for the day. Months before, we took career assessments to place us (I was a journalist) and even had an election for Mayor. We met regularly with our "coworkers" to work on a business plan for the big day.

I have a comma problem. I'm revising my work and deleting commas left and right while resisting the temptation to add more. Hot editing tips: Be mindful about your commas (Oxford commas excluded of course!) Do you really need the word "that"? Delete it

Just want to say as someone who has worked in PR & Marketing for a decade, that MANY brands' target audiences are called "HER" or "MOM." They are trying to appeal to women. Women have such valuable buying power. Remember this as you choose what to spend money on, what media you consume. We matter.

If you’re planning on watching any Lynch, my advice is: don’t watch any analysis videos, don’t think about what stuff is “supposed” to mean, just get your own unique experience from it!! I think people have become far too concerned with the “correct” interpretations of media. Just experience it!!!

Remembering how my poetry professor in college would have us underline poems/write comments within the assigned reading, then would collect all our books to review. So he would just take bags full of our physical poetry collections home, read what we noted, and haul them back to class.
