Watched the Netflix Led Zeppelin film - enjoyed it a lot. Some top pop facts, such as John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page both played on Goldfinger with Shirley Bassey. I would've shortened the live footage - you only really enjoy a lengthy guitar solo if you're off your tits, or you're a guitar nerd.

I've just finished Starter Villain by John Scalzi, and loved it. It's the first of his books that I've read, and it was indeed laugh out loud funny, especially the bit with the dolphins. Recommended.

At first I thought it was those tokens we used to access Bluesky at the beginning, before it opened to everyone. I even did a quick sortie onto X to see if it was a thing. Apparently Bluesky did an upgrade last night which caused the glitch for some. We're so buggered if t'internet ever fails.

Cloudy and cool, so went for a long walk across the cliffs. As I climbed the 200-odd steps that lead up the hill on to the cliff path, I nearly walked into a web strung by an optimistic spider across the steps. I did apologise for breaking it to get past. It reminded me of this Far Side cartoon -

Watched My Brilliant Career on Netflix and really enjoyed it. Why can't the BBC make more stuff like this, instead of relentless crime/police series or grim Northern drama? Even the once sunny Jersey-based Bergerac was remade into depressing alcoholic cop has dysfunctional family misery. Bah.

When I heard the news about Dolly Parton this morning, I found myself filling up with tears. Mostly for the loss of such an extraordinary woman, an absolute queen, and partly at the injustice that the likes of Trump are still walking the earth and she's not. RIP Dolly.
