Tried to gather my thoughts and feelings over what’s been happening (cb + ai collab). Here are the list of reasons/thoughts on why you won’t see me around here anytime soon. Wishing love to everyone 💜

Why am I distancing myself indefinitely

- I joined the BTS ARMY in the 2020 lock down. For me BTS has been a source of happiness and hope until now.
- I started writing fics in 2021 and reading and writing has been my main source of entertainment and connection in this fandom. I’ve made long time friends, I even met my girlfriend and bonded with her over BTS and fanfiction.
- There is nothing that the company, the boys or even Namjoon can say for me to trust them again anymore. It’s too late now. I won’t believe anything.
- I obviously knew I wasn’t their personal friend, but I thought at least we shared the same core values. So I thought.
- I feel like their mask slipped, voluntarily.

- They’ve entered a new era.
- They reached the level of legends, like Michael Jackson, like the Beatles. And there’s nothing they can do to lose that. Which just means they now can get away with anything they want. They’ll always have some fans that’ll stay, no matter how awful things get.
- I don’t know if I’ll stay. But I know I’ll be gone for now. Indefinitely.
- This app was already unbearable to be at, filled with hate and misogyny. I don’t want to stay here and see just how much more awful it becomes
- Will I delete my fics? No
- Will I finish my wip fics? I don’t know. I can’t bring myself to read or think of fics. It hurts too much.
- Will I ever come back? I don’t know. The only thing that kept me here now just makes me feel incredibly sad, stupid and pathetic. Was it all a facade? Was my hope on these men to be good men all lies? This few days of reflection taught me I can just… not be here. Not engage. I won’t be happier but I will also not be more sad. Hopefully.
- If BTS taught me something is that Life Goes On. So like an arrow in the bluesky I will just keep on living. Without BTS.
- This is incredibly painful to me. I have Namjoon’s name and some of his songs tattooed on my body. I obviously don’t regret them, but what once filled me with pride and excitement, is now filled with resentment and sadness.
- I will still listen to their new music. But I won’t buy it, nor do I think I’ll be joining them for the next tour. I’ve already seen them when I loved them the most, I’m very lucky.
- I’m jealous of all of the ARMY that can stay. I wish I could. BTS is my everything. I don’t think I have the words to describe what they mean to me. They gave me hope, love, and friendships that will last a lifetime. I’ll love them forever, cherish my memories forever, but I just can’t blindly celebrate, cheer for them or trust them anymore. Not like before. Differently. More distanced and detached.
