Second YCH sketch for @offthebanddragon.bsky.social, of his vixen Valerie! She was perfect for this pose, which came courtesy of the wonderful @jookpubstock.bsky.social. Thanks so much for your support! #furryart • #traditional • #traditionalart • #anthro

A finished pencil sketch of a silver fox woman, who sits elegantly draped in cloth. One arm js extended, and floating a few inches above the open palm sits a crescent moon.

The original loose YCH (your character here) sketch prior to editing with the client's character. Instead of a vixen, the pose displays an antlered doe.

💀 DOL GULDUR 💀 For Tolktober days 1, 2 & 3. #Tolktober #Tolktober26 Moon | Forest | Necromancer

Illustration of Dol Guldur from the Hobbit by JRR Tolkie. An evil hill-top fortress vignetted by twisted, leafless trees. The fortress overlooks a forest canopy with black butterflies above it. In the distance is a lonely mountain, an even further mountain range and behind a gap a volcano.

A stone staircase leads up to the fortress door which is glowing from the inside. Cruel windows resemble spider eyes and fangs. Two turrets with crenelations that look like raised hands. One of the crenelations is broken off. On top is a henge of 5 stones with 4 shadowy figures between them. An altar in the centre of the 9 shapes. A crescent, ringlike moon is eclipsing the central stone.
There are 9 stars in the red sky.

Hidden in the top branches are the words Dol Guldur.

Colour combination of red and teal overlapping risograph style.

Did you know that the name Dol Guldur is not used in the Hobbit but is mentioned in the Lord of the Rings as a dwelling place of Shelob's brood.

I use some old German books as a starting point and then try my luck with the internet. :'D What I'm mostly looking for is: - Hanakotoba - Flower symbolism in China - Greek mythology - Flowers in different religions For me it always depends on the type of character the flower is meant for.

Our staff is hard at work on your divination! We will be with you momentarily.

A digital illustration of various hamsters on a table cluttered with objects such as spellbooks, candles, herbs, and mushrooms.

One hamster is asleep in the eye socket of a cat skull, another is eating a mushroom, two appear to be contemplating a spread of three tarot cards (three of swords, death, 10 of cups), another hamster investigates a bottle of spilled sunflower seeds, one is pawing at a glass bowl containing a newt (which is likewise pawing at the hamster from inside), and lastly a hamster appears to be scurrying off screen dragging a knife.

Floriography is super fun! I have a document for all the main characters of my novels with at least one flower that fits them well. Victorian flower language would technically be to "modern" for my world, but if I can't find any older meanings for the flowers, I go with the Victorian option. :'D

Another classic, not sure if I've already posted this one here.

The image is a six panel black and white comic.

Panel 1 - a girl sits at her desk in front of a computer, looking disheartened. She says, "I dont know if I should post this art, who would even want to see it?"

Panel 2- A new person bursts through the door in the background with a loud BAM

Panel 3- The new person pushes the girl out of the way, smushing her face in the process, while slamming their fist down on the keyboard.

Panel 4- The computer shows that the art has been posted

Panel 5- The person makes direct eye contact with the girl while pushing their finger against their own phone screen

Panel 6- A motion blur is added to the last panel, enhancing the impact of the new notifications on the new post. It reads, "(Friend) Liked Post just now" Followed by "(Friend) commented 'I FUCKING LOVE THIS AND I LOVE U'"

Underneath the last panel is a watermark that reads, Shubbabang

Painting for a Hyth-focused zine I made a while back! A few things I'd do differently now, but I put a lot of work into the background and I'm still pleased with it #ff14 #ffxiv #art #illustration

Digital diptych painting of Hythlodaeus from FFXIV. The left half of the diptych shows him playing a harp sculpted in the form of various creations, like sharks, an axolotl, and a swan. The right half shows him an Ancient ghost in Amaurot sitting on a bench. There are elpis flowers at his feet and he is holding one flower. The diptych is framed with pearlescent white columns with purple-flowering vines, with engravings of the phases of the moon and stylized scenes of the Ancients. At the very top above the frame are tiny sculptures of Hythlodaeus on the left, and Emet-Selch on the right, both surrounded by masked Ancients. The background at the very top is the blue aetherial sea
