currently you can do this with my site by querying joodaloop.com/sw-manifest.js… and using the page hashes to track changes if i give each page a markdown counterpart and add them to the manifest we’ve got a simple enough sync protocol for local site mirroring

if you give your website a service worker cache and a keyboard-driven search bar, if starts to feel like using a local app that contains your notes but accessible in every browser, all the time!

redesigning the WEBCRAFT site adding a “why do people hire me?” that just has quotes from people who’ve hired me
A certain tasteful originality
I don't like most websites and have wasted 100 hours trying to like mine. But I like your websites.

"taste", "craftsman", "each one doesn't look like others"

Intentional attention from a human
Your work stands out in the age of AI - feels more human, intentional. And the more Claudeslop there is out there, the more the human approach stands out. In a sense, me hiring you is also me taking a stand for certain principles

I can do it all
You also made the process of working together very smooth and painless, priced very reasonably, and included hosting/email/etc, which are all added pluses. Not easy to find an all-in-one package that good.

I’m the website guy
I just loved your style and that you blogged and that I enjoyed your site, so why not hire you to make others feel that way when they land on mine?

I’m the *serious* website guy
Judah is incredibly serious at being the best at creating personal websites. Basically like “Jiro Dreams of Sushi”...a craftsman dedicated to the craft. Not that you *will* dedicate your life to it, but its the same ethos.

is this anything?
why is there no database built on changestreams that can be dynamically composed together for fan out?

i.e. every write doesn't invalidate subscriptions (arbitrary, expensive to keep alive), but instead funnel into change-streams of sizes that are app-specific, like, per-repository, workspace, and user's notifications, etc. all combining into a single "user's stream"? i.e. logical subsets that don't change often instead of realtime queries or per-row versioning?

and finally, the `joodalint help` command it’s the one that will improve the most going forward — it’s meant to help you actually use your site better, and point out failure to be a good webmaster for now, it prints a graph of your publishing schedule, and suggests drafts that you should complete

next up, testing the build output itself 1. it checks every internal link to see if the matching resource actually exists, and points out orphan files (no links to them) too 2. run an audit on client-side Javsscript 3. warns if metadata tags like <title> and OG images are missing

first, the linting itself it runs pretty fast (i have plans to make it faster) and prints out problems per file:line-number it’s focuses on 3 main things: - frontmatter validation - URL propriety (did you know MD parsers don’t care?) - mechanical errors like improper spacing, orphan parens, etc

new joodaloop.com features just released search through all posts by title with the ⌘ + K menu, with all pages cached offline with a Service Worker so everything loads instantly

There’s an in-between skill too, that I think of as: - what to show, when, and why The “how” depends on those three questions, and only then applies better polish. I think my refactor of the interface in the picture on the right to the one on the left demonstrates this a little bit
better interfacebad interface

dear @aeronautapp.com i am going to give you money but have a few requests for the app if you would be so kind: 1. make profiles show their latest posts directly, and have replies, media, etc be horizontal tabs like twitter 2. add text search to bookmarks 3. add a bookmark icon to the post UI
