Really excited to share this with y’all! I love Marvel’s take on Dracula so much. This is gonna be a fun time!

great example of how strong the core concept of superheroes can be that we can do interesting new spins on them that strengthens the original ideas behind them.

Really loved how the Green Lantern mythos is still intact for the DC films but has this interesting offshoot of it for the show to keep going if they choose to.

Look, I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t think a “True Detective take” on Green Lantern was gonna work, but I’m so glad I was proven wrong with Lanterns.

I feel like any 12-14 year old that’s interested in this will probably be mature enough for it, but it’s a pretty heady concept. Really the only thing R Rated about it is the language

A huge swing that doesn’t always connect, but I was never bored and think it’s one of Cruise’s wildest performances of his career.

Digger is truly something else, and I don’t really know how to put it in words. Audacious. Inflammatory. Bleak. Frustrating. Kinda genius? It truly is NOT the movie it’s been marketed as, and if you can go in blind it will help the experience.

Up until now I had never seen The Rage: Carrie 2, and I can’t say I was missing much. The connection to the 1976 movie is so tacked on that it’s honestly laughable, and the movie is so boring for 90% of the runtime until the big freak out happens.

We also need to strengthen antitrust laws so that one corporation isn't absorbing its smaller competitors and destroying people's livelihoods. We also need to strengthen workers' unions and push for more robust labour laws and tax regulations. No one should be able to buy a studio for $111 billion.

What the last 26 years have taught me is that we really need to do away with Reagan-era economic policies that have pervaded and eroded our livelihoods well past the expiration date. We need to get big money out of politics, and we need to do away with corporate politicians and justices.

This gets me to my final concern about this merger: the number of WBD employees you never hear about but who work behind the scenes to sell and promote the stories we love. They're going to be caught in the mass layoffs, and they're going to be competing with each other for the few available jobs.

The other concern is what this will mean for the future of journalism. Not just for the people at CNN, but also for independent journalists and other news outlets that report on the entertainment industry because we depend on our relationships with the studios and their teams for our livelihoods.
