One year, 365 days – a mere fraction in time, but this last one being experienced without my incredibly amazing wife Danielle Yannazzo-Jones has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Today we celebrate the wonderful person she was, and the lasting impression she left on so many people.

Danielle has been interred in her final resting place. She is next to her mother and other family in New Jersey. We had a smaller family service at the chapel, and then she was placed in the connected columbarium with love and affection. Rest well my darling!

Time has taken two more months from me without my darling Danielle. I try to remember the good times and her infectious laughter, and that does help ease my pain, but the sorrow remains and the overwhelming feeling of loss washes over me nonetheless. I miss you, darling.

It's been one month since my beautiful wife's passing, and it still doesn't seem real. I discovered some of the first emails we exchanged after meeting each other back in January 2005. Then we started dating in March of that same year, and the rest is glorious history.

She’s home. The funeral home called and told me Danielle was ready to come back to me. I can’t believe almost a month has elapsed since she passed. It still doesn’t seem real. She will stay with me for a couple of months and then she’ll travel to New Jersey to be interred next to her mother.

Okay, I just watched the new “Superman;” am I missing something? It’s not that good. There’s too much campiness and unnecessary juvenile humour. I guess I was expecting something more serious. I know it’s James Gunn but the other movies he did had some substance. This is missing a lot IMO.

I hate writing this and certainly didn’t think I would have to do so this soon. My beloved wife Danielle was taken from us on Saturday 8/9 by breast cancer. She was diagnosed in March of 2024, and fought bravely and without fear, whilst still working full-time at home between treatments.

We lost one of our old forum crew a few days ago to cancer. @ravenette.bsky.social was a champion of snakes, had a love for terrible movies and the spooky. She was too cool for any of us dorks but she gave us all of her kindness until her body gave way. She burned too brightly for us to keep her.

WEIGHT LOSS I’m down 18 pounds (8kg) since March 1. From 188lbs to 170lbs (85kg to 77kg) as of today! I was gonna post before and after pics, but I’m not sure you guys wanna see that. 🫣 It’s hard for a 54 year old dude!

We were gifted a waffle maker for our wedding, some 11 years ago! We decided to make it happen tonight. Breakfast for dinner. First batch was okay (in my estimation), although @ravenette.bsky.social said they were good. Now we have 10 waffles for breakfast the next few days.

I’ve been on a self-imposed diet since March 1. Almost eliminating sugar, keeping my calories under 1900 a day, no fast food or processed foods, etc. I was at 188lbs and now I’m down to 174lbs with a 3% drop in BMI as well. I call that a positive change! Now comes the tone up and muscle build!

Without getting too specific, I’ve been with my current company for just over 8 years. After 6 months I was an Account Mgr, and I’ve spent the last 5 years as our Ops Mgr. Next Friday I’ll become Managing Director of our Branch. There are 27 branches in our company and nation wide. Big change! 😁
