#Nowplaying the 2026 mix #KingCrimson Islands. A stunning CD and Blu Ray collection. Well worth it

Morning all and now playing #FrankZappa and this time it’s Apostrophe. More commercial than anything previously with the emphasis on shorter tracks. Some great comedy rock with a hint of the blues. Excellent album

Morning all and now playing the next instalment in the #FrankZappa series. Over-Nite sensation has a return to rock feel about it and includes the magnificent track Montana. Well worth a listen if this one passed you by.

Morning all and back to the #FrankZappa catalogue. Next up and now playing #TheGrandWazoo. Another album donated to Jazz Fusion. It’s a great album with a great album cover. From this early period it’s my favourite.

Morning all and he comes the next instalment of playing the #FrankZappa catalogue. I really like #WakaJawaka as it is heavily Jazz influenced and quite different to a few earlier recordings. Sitting back and enjoying.

Morning all thought I had better get back on track with the #FRANKZAPPA catalogue. #Nowplaying this interesting live album with a groovy cover. Some nice bits here but on the whole it disappoints me to be honest. On side 2 at the moment with so nearly done so onto the next episode soon.

#Nowplaying the next episode of the #FrankZappa epic and this time it’s 200 Motels. Once described as 90 minutes of surprisingly sophisticated orchestral arrangements woven into a mix of rock and comedy music. Not a go to for me but quite enjoying the chaos to be honest.

Morning all and #nowplaying the next in my attempt to play all of the #FrankZappa of which I own either on CD or vinyl. Today it’s Live at the Fillmore East. Mainly comedy sketches set to music not an essential listen but there is no denying the quality of the musicianship.

Morning all and here I go continuing with the #FrankZappa catalogue and next up is the fabulous #Chungas Revenge from 1970. Covering Blues Rock, Jazz Fusion and some great guitar work as usual but not his best. Much more to come though.

Morning all and #nowplaying yet more #FrankZappa. Weasals concentrates on live recordings and some outtakes from the Hot Rats sessions. Featuring #LowellGeorge who went on to form #LittleFeat, some great tracks here including Oh No and The Orange County Lumber Truck.

Morning all and after yesterday’s opus Hot Rats listen it’s on to the next episode of the #FrankZappa outing and this time it’s Burnt Weeny Sandwich. A mixture of live and studio recordings which vary from Doo Wop to complex instrumental compositions. A good effort on the whole.

Morning all and #nowplaying the magnificent #FrankZappa album #HotRats as Zappa described it as a movie for your ears. A staggering mainly instrumental album I love this album.

Morning all and next up and #Nowplaying from the #FrankZappa catalogue is Uncle Meat from 1969. Some great compositions here as Zappa starts to establish himself as a composer. Very enjoyable so far as he pushes into new territory.

Morning all #nowplaying number 5 in the #FrankZappa series. Released under the alias Ruben & The Jets and really a doo-wop album concept albums. Some nice tracks but not my favourite but will see it out.

Morning all. Part 4 #FrankZappa #Nowplaying Lumpy Gravy. A solo album from 1968 an orchestral piece quite enjoying to be fair but no real Zappa involvement instrumentally.

Finishing off with the next episode from #FrankZappa after this evening’s eclipse. Full of experimental music coupled with lovely psychedelic tones, this being the 3rd of a majestic back catalogue
