Finally got the chance to see MØL live and it was awesome, sadly no Lambda (their best song), but they still kicked ass (even if they stuck a bit too hard to their new album).......also didn't expect a moshpit at a blackgaze concert (but I haven't been to many metal concerts in general tbh).

Greep's statement just came out and yeah, there is no doubt about it now, it's so over

It's never been more over as a Greep, I obviously really hope it is not true somehow, but right now it's not looking that way at all and I feel terrible for any victim involved

Episode 4 of ID:Invaded was the first one I really vibed with, partly because of how good the scene featuring this song was, I will probably have it stuck in my head tomorrow www.youtube.com/watch?v=JONn...

Re-listening to DREAMCRUSH as well and honestly, it makes way more sense if you think of it as a metal record written by Mew, cause god does it sound Mew-influenced in both the vocals and the way it's performed

MyNameIsJon_ner @jonner.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

It's honestly only the clean vocals on the title-track that I think kind of throw me off with how mismatched they feel with the rest of the music, but the rest is honestly fire.

Re-listened to Diorama by møl in preperation for seeing them next week and I honestly don't know what I was smoking when I heard it upon release 5 years ago. The album is honestly almost, if not equally, as great as Jord, with the same triumphant mix of black metal and shoegaze that I loved.

First episode of ID:Invaded was kind of........trippy. Not sure if I liked it, but I assume it will make more sense the further into it I get, I'm certainly intrigued by the concept at least.

Seeing Arakawa on my feed reminded me of the fact that this is the best anime ED of all-time, ESPECIALLY the version where it's just people cosplaying as the characters www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBCI...

As much as I love Atrocity Exhibition, this was probably the most fun Danny Brown-era for me, so many EDM-tinged bangers on this record (and the more conscious A-side is also not bad)

Did my usual technique for choosing an anime from my seasonal backlog (spin a wheel into spin all the series from that year that I want to watch) and we have a winner

Definitely going to give 100 METERS a try next when I am in the mood for a movie, cause Orb impressed me enough to want to give everything this guy made a try.

Easily making it into my favorites, this is one of those special anime that I would recommend to anyone (especially those looking for something similar to Vinland Saga).

Overall, I was really impressed with how it balanced the relationship between science vs. religion, without condemming any one of them entirely and even showing they can co-exist without contradicting one another.

Finished it now and wow, what an ending. Even in its last episode, they somehow managed to flip the script entirely with how they reintroduced [x], especially with how Nowak considering himself the ''villain of the story'' was being put into question when even those pursuing truth can be fanatic.

After all that Nowak did, seeing him kind of eat shit with his whole raison d'etre essentially being torn down was super satisfying to witness Easily my favorite episode so far, how does this anime still manage to peak this late in? If it manages to stick the landing, this will easily be a fav.

Nowak might actually be the scariest anime character of all time, every time he shows up you just know that something awful is going to happen (he's also voiced by Kenjirou Tsuda, which helps with the intimidation factor)

Late to the party, but this Haute & Freddy album rules, sounds a bit like Chappel Roan but it leans even harder into 80's synth pop and every song basically sounds like a forgotten hit from that period www.youtube.com/watch?v=TK-1...

At episode 10 now and so far my closest comparison is Vinland Saga, really glad I finally found something that could scratch a similar itch (aside from, you know, actually finishing reading the Vinland Saga manga, which is something that I need to get to one of these days.........)

And just the next episode they introduce a character who completely rejects the idea of being a stepping stone for someone else........this show just keeps getting better and better the more I watch it. I honestly haven't been this excited for a new watch since at least Fruits Basket, it's great.
