Highlights of Liverpool. For Beatles fans - that is the same barber shop from Penny Lane. Red brick is George's childhood home. The grey house was where John lived from 5-23. The brown was Paul's home where he and John wrote tons of songs. Cavern Club is a recreation on the same spot as the original

If you ever have a chance to go to Stone Henge, if you can afford it, play extra for an inner circle tour. It ain't cheap, but you can explore so close you can touch the stones (don't!) and see the medieval graffiti. Our tour group were the only ones at the site. Just amazing!

Thinking about a cab driver from Yemin we had in Cardiff. Said he’s never met an American he didn’t like. He has family in Michigan who love living here. He really wants to visit them, but says he wouldn’t be safe here until Trump is gone.

There are a few everyday things that I’m particularly missing which I didn’t realize don’t exist (or at least are rare) in the UK - paper towels in bathrooms (air dryers mostly suck although the ones at Heathrow are good), wash cloths, and top sheets.

This has to be the worst year in team history. They’ve had worse records but four Tommy Johns in one year? At one point 16 or 17 on the 60 day IL. Record 70 players used. The rainbow cap debacle. Other various PR issues. The only bright spot is the improved minor league system.

For #VintageToyTuesday I got this in a thrift store in York. As a kid, my brother’s friend went to London and bought one of these. It hadn’t came to the US yet (with the name change to Waldo). We played this with her a lot. About a year later we got excited when it came, but confused over the name 😂

Having spent 4 days in London and 3 in Edinburgh, in our experience, when it comes to food, Edinburgh>London. Food was better in more limited time in Bath and York than London too. Still have a few more stops to go to see how they stack up.

I hate the people who always scream about adjusting for inflation / Gone With the Wind. There was no competition for entertainment. No TV. No internet. No multiplexes. Some towns had one theater with one choice. It’s not the same world. Plus people willing to pay such high prices now is amazing.

Today is @jonmezzera.bsky.social and my 20th Wedding anniversary and we splurged on a bus tour to Bath, Lacock, and the most exciting... Stonehenge!!! Not only did we get to see the outside, we got to walk around inside! What an amazing experience and an awesome way to spend the anniversary!

Wrestling has an advantage over other forms of scripted tv in being live each week to get & use instant reactions from the live crowd, social media, ratings, even merch sales. IMO New Day was stale / annoying AF for the last 2 years of their babyface run (I blame them not WWE). The heel turn helped but still stale. Maybe a change of company will inject new life into their act but Kofi doing the same battle royal bit says same old shit to me. Time will tell if I’m wrong.

There were a few omissions from the original 1977-1985 Star Wars toy line. One of the biggest IMO was Captain/Admiral Piett who was a pretty important character in Empire and Jedi with lots of dialogue and interactions with Darth Vader. Glad he got justice with this mid 90s toy. #VintageToyTuesday
