I haven't done this one specifically but their should be soldiering tutorials for other similar ram chips on YouTube the adapter board should be printable from a pcb service like jlpcb.

This is another "players will optimize the fun outta of a game" discussion. I agree to a certain extent I'd say it's more that these players need to find a game that wastes their time in a way they find acceptable instead of asking for a game that they don't like to be changed.

So? I think game freak would have changed gen 1 designs to look less like dragon quest designs if there had been a buncha dragon quest fans dog piling on them back in the day too.

As far as I'm aware they voluntarily choose to change them they weren't compelled by losing a copyright lawsuit so they weren't "forced". Additionally Palworlds gameplay is an original mashup. So imo it was a just out and out a bad example to use for this discussion.

Palworld draws from more than just pokemon.

You are correct I was just mainly using dragon quest as a well known example of how pokemon isn't in anyway an original idea.

Dragon quest 5 had monster taming in it it came out in 1992 it was an extremely popular series in Japan there are numerous monster designs in gen 1 (released in 1996) that can be argued are similar to dragon quest's monsters. I'm sick of seeing Pokemon held up as some bastion of originality.

(1/3) People have been asking me about this redesigned GDEMU clone (Dreamcast ODE). So I bit the bullet, bought one, and tested it. Firstly, all of the "faster speeds" stuff is pure marketing bullshit. Timing is handled by GDEMU firmware, and it's delicate. You don't want to arbitrarily increase.
