The Metropolitan Police have received substantial dossiers of evidence against senior UK politicians but refuse to act on ICCA 2001. Climate activists with JSO, IB, XR, who use the CGAN defence, argue the Police & CPS protect those who kill and prosecute those trying to stop the killers.

The legislation is The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, which is brought into UK jurisdiction by the International Criminal Court Act 2001. The key provisions: Article 25 deals with those who contribute to crimes (common purpose) Article 30 tackles direct & oblique intent.

A large strand of work I am involved in is helping to defend JSO, IB and XR activists who are prosecuted for taking dynamic action to stop climate breakdown. I help people use the CGAN defence - climate breakdown can be prosecuted using ICCA 2001, but the Met Police won't act on the legislation.

I have initiated several meetings with climate/aviation campaigners in connection with the International Court of Justice AO on responsibilities associated with climate breakdown. I explained the need to use the ICJ ruling to help stop aviation expansion plans. Note The Times & Mail on this.

Since December I've been briefing eco-NGOs on the huge implications of the International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion on national responsibilities/liabilities associated with climate change. Today Policy Exchange confirmed it knows its policies could cause £multi-trillion debts (Times today).

I have engaged the services of Leigh Day solicitors to pursue a Judicial Review of BBC output relating to climate breakdown. The Corporation has long suppressed the most alarming news on climate breakdown, which acts as a political bias, acts as a bias against the young and endangers life.

I was astonished to see the CCC's adaptation report didn't include a word about preparing for AMOC collapse. How can we expect the UK government to prepare if the CCC has nothing to say about an existential threat?! So I've just fired off this email to the CCC and Baroness Brown.

The BBC says we need to build resilience into new infrastructure (referring to the outage in Spain and Portugal) and ensure the 1.5 million new homes government plans to build are ready. The CCC also warns our hospitals, roads, homes for the elderly, most critical infrastructure, etc aren't ready.

Today the BBC has broadcast the most detailed series of reports on climate breakdown since COP26 in Glasgow. Every 30 minutes, or so, the BBC has reported on the CCC's Adaptation Team's warning that government is failing miserably to prepare the country for more extremes of flood, heat and drought.

My first post on bsky. Let's go back to April 2019 and the first time in my life to have been arrested - beside the Pink Boat with XR. It was a bit embarrassing seeing the report in the local Echo paper (pictured). But it was an essential step to take.
