I appreciate the positive response to the exploration pass from the previous post. This will be something that takes a LOT of time to work and develop through but it is ultimately the route I want my polished anim projects to look as a result of craftmanship with other artists.

Rough Test to mix 3D with 2D Background @cupid.day was kind enough to do a background so I can test how far I can see if I want to invest in animations work that would look like this. Pose was just done in 5mins as a rough idea with camera, then we went from there to focus on the test

Pose Timelapse quick pose session I start really rough because I like getting a very basic idea so I dont go off track with the pose, but I can still experiment with things Then I focus on getting the pose looking good at all angles before anything else so I know I have my mechanics feeling solid.

Bit of a longer timelapse today. Started working on making variation of extreme on the smile to get a rough base going while flipping back and fourth to make sure things go in arcs rather than Linear. Then a rough base for a subtle sad which still needs a fair bit of work. Making progress though

Another Timelapse Slowly getting through all the mild universal expressions before applying varying levels to get more extreme versions of them. Noticed that the left eye is slightly further back than the right so going to have to fix that!

Okay this was a bit more tricky. While I will still adjust later on to get somewhere a bit nicer. Just rough base expressions for now Also was looking into how cats react when grumpy or angry to pose the ears, will be doing another pass to reduce the ears later on lol

Just me rambling about using landmarks to track spacing to camera so that we can use those to make things feel less confusing by making sure the spacing allows the user to read the idea going on even in a fast transition like the one im doing.

More WIP. Still need to add more poses onto the arms coming up, but just wanted to block in the next section start so i can flow the arms into the idea better. But at the moment still in a very rough blocking stage. No timing adjustments yet, just going through poses in my head before refining them

After a lot of delays etc, I finally got promoted to Mid-Level Animator at work. UNFORTUNATELY, I am very burnt out and can't open a 3D program right now due to the amount of stress lately. So im using this as an opportunity to carry on my studies with 2D and focus more on gesture drawing.
