I don't love Canva to begin with. For younger students, I don't have a huge problem. But, I am a professor who teaches educators and I get lots of assignments produced in Canva. They all feel the same; templates are prophylactic to creativity and learning.

I could be wrong, but I believe the AI capabilities in Canva can be disabled by the school/district. You might consider reaching out and inquiring.
