Any experience with generic budesonide versus Tarpeyo(targeted release budesonide) for IgA nephropathy? All I can find are proteinuria studies and increased risk of systemic side effects. Blue Cross wants patient to fail generic budesonide for 3 months before approving Tarpeyo. #askrenal

Yes, but they buy a few weeks or longer during the appeal process where they don't have more expensive treatments. One of my medications I've been on for a year had to go to a state board for appeal, and during that time it was covered by a bridge program.

I paid $50 one time for Farxiga, got the manufacturer copay coupon so it was $0 the next. The time after that I was switched to generic dapa and paid another $50. Pharmacist worked with me to get the next one back to Farxiga with the coupon. It's chaos.

I don't know the academic and legal hurdles, clearly, but I do know that remote ZFS storage can be encrypted and a number of great open source backup programs only support encrypted datasets even on unencrypted volumes. I have a mix of all of those here.

Even when I lose a drive or two, I don't have major downtime. Rebuilds happen live, too. Best options are Linux MD raid6 or ZFS raidz2 IMO.
