I lost the plot too - couldn't fathom this piece. Then decided I didn't care. My ballot arrived today. Will deliver it to a drop box and trust millions of Americans will do the same over next weeks and the midterms will have the old fashioned kind of plot where the good guys ultimately win.

Herod Agrippa. Acts 12:20-23: Herod gave speech to people of Tyre and Sidon who shouted: "The voice of a god, and not of a man!" Then an "angel of the Lord" struck him down. He was "eaten of worms" & died in immense pain, seen as a fitting death for a leader who set himself up as a god. Just saying.

This kind of prepation of the public for how to manage what may be coming is of huge importance. The situation in Philadelphia is especially fraught because it is already so partisan. All but one GOP member of PA house earlier voted to impeach this Dem DA for not doing Philadelphia crime their way.
