True story: Competing record company executives were touring the studio. A new tech spooled a reel of tape onto another that was too small. A huge rat’s nest of tape resulted. I diverted the execs downstairs to see the vocal and drum booths. We cleaned everything up before they returned. Close call!

Police staked out our bar and watched the patrons file out. I stumbled, swerved, and dropped my keys as I went to my car. All my buddies seemed to care less as I was being administered the breathalyzer. “You blew a 0.0! How is that possible?” I guess the cop had never heard of a designated decoy!

Very cool Tom! Seattle sure had a great music scene! Loved the Seattle Center concerts, laser shows, etc. I set up a Pez display in the the lobby of KISW and KXRX for the visiting bands… Made friends with Crow and West, Robin and Maynard and some of the other DJs… Good times for sure!

Bruce was a talented and kind man. I was a fan of his work before being hired to play drums for him in our little resort town of Sun Valley. We had lots of great gigs together and one particular highlight of playing “Fly Me To The Moon” for the second man to walk on it 😎
