anyway yeah, really well paced, they definitely skip over some stuff vs manga to get to stand fights early but i haven't read the manga in years so i didn't remember much of what they skipped, only realised when i was told by a friend

i really liked it, i think i still prefer the longer eps like they did for the first stage, but it's nice to just get regular episodic jojo releases again for the first time since i was uh. 15. christ

also jojo steel ball run ep2 thoughts: the production value is off the charts with how it's all lit and how all the shots are framed and stuff, closeups are incredibly well animated as well. there's obviously some jank with further out shots but it's better than prev parts (fixed in bluray probs)

the games themselves do work on linux! the issue is almost entirely an anticheat one and linux being as open as it is kind of runs counter to the goals of most kernel level anticheat. despite being a pain it does alot to aid in cheat detection and devs benefit from it heavily, it's here to stay

eac is usermode on linux, it's trivially bypassable and allowing it to be enabled allows cheaters on windows to just spoof that they're running under wine/proton to get the easy-to-bypass anticheat. nobody thinks linux users are all cheaters, linux support gives existing cheaters a new attack vector
