It's essentially a ribbed stitch with an extra K2 at the end to alter the pattern to the way it is now. It creates a textured and stretchy fabric! I learned this by accident.

It's a basic k2 p2 stitch that repeats 6 times and ends with a k2. When I flip over to the next row, I repeat the whole thing. So.... Row 1: K2, P2, repeat 6 times, K2. Row 2-N: Repeat Row 1.

🧶 The word crochet is derived from the French word "croche", which in turn comes from the Gaelic word, "croc" meaning hook. I also looked up knit and found out that it is derived from an Old English word "cynttan" which means to tie or knot. So if we do both, does that mean we're knotty hookers? 😏
