They are playing in 💩 stadium, which has a retractable grass field for soccer, and its field turf underneath because they host an NFL game every year.

I dunno, I guess growing up watching the Big East from the 80’s, Otto was always huge. Their basketball was always a F4 contender. Their football team was always good, and always beat Pitt. Syracuse to me seemed like a giant. Seeing them unable to stay caught up because of $$$ to me feels fucked up.

They aren’t hosting a public basketball scrimmage cause it would lose them too much money, between paying for someone a guarantee, to converting the dome back and forth from FB to BB config, cause they don’t have another public arena big enough on campus.

Just as a quick aside: Syracuse is probably the ACC school having the roughest time with NIL. They’ve made noises that of they can’t figure out his to be competitive with the NCAA/ACC in three years, they are going to have make hard decisions.

About today’s PittVB opponent: Syracuse is 0-3 in the ACC, and 5-7 overall. The past five years, Otto has probably been the worst ACC Volleyball team when it comes to talent, school support, and injury luck. Always bad. This year is no exception. Pitt should win comfortably.
