Union of BC Municipalities day 1. Attended a session called Run For Office, Not From Online Harassment. The online grief I get is nothing compared to some, most notably women. Some real horror stories out there from elected officials. Bullying, name calling, stalking, doxxing. Brutal. #ubcm2026

These eagles provide endless entertainment at my work. They’re mates raising an eaglet dubbed Rex. One of the parents caught a large fish, dropped the live fish onto the hard pavement in our work yard, swooped down to grab it and ripped it in half then flew up to the nest to feed baby Rex. 🦅 🎣

The annual Statement of Financial Information is available in Squamish. It’s an accountability document reporting on borrowing, staff & council remuneration/expenses, severance & payments to suppliers. It shows my Councillor salary and expenses ($46,926 & $7,356).

Back in 2022 a fire destroyed a mixed-use building in Squamish. The family that has owned the land for decades plans to rebuild with a modern take on the original. Commercial on the bottom and 8 apartments above. The housing units will be rented out well before the interior paint dries.

The ice rink in Squamish had to be shut down this fall because the ice conditions became dangerous. A report on this is available online. Here’s the link to the full report. squamish.civicweb.net/FileStorage/...
