I know Scott Singer and I'm proud to know him. He's a good, honest person who was disgusted by Trump from the beginning. You'll find my book Good Intentions is dedicated to him and his wife Mary Ruth. The book arose from conversations with them, their bafflement at fellow Catholics for Trump.

A common sense approach to funding social security. 1. Don't treat the payouts as income. (No income tax) 2. Raise the cap and index to inflation. (To fund the SS trust) 3. Elect representatives that advocate for working citizens, not corporations (repeal citizens United)

And we are now learning about more increases for 2027 rates. Even employers are shifting more of the burden of insurance premiums onto employees. Rather than covered healthcare as a benefit, companies just provide access to purchase expensive high deductible plans. 😮‍💨

Susan Collins is showing just how out of touch she is. “I spent a whole year without health insurance…in ‘94” That was 3 decades ago, Susan, when insurance was $1500 annually… Thanks to Susan’s vote that helped pass Trump’s murderous budget bill, premiums are $1500 a month now for some folks.

Something unprecedented happened during my visit to the Gulf. For the first time in 20 years in Congress, I was denied entry to U.S. military facilities and even meetings with military leaders. An order from Hegseth - that applies to both parties - to hide the cost of the war.
