4K of EXCALIBUR (1981) this evening. Neat details I'd not spotted before: the Mystery Players, deer in the foreground of Guenevere and Lancelot doing it. The movie fumbles the spiritual revelation of Percival and the Battle of Camlann is awkwardly staged but it is still lush and romantic to look at.

Bizarrely, I think this ended up on TV because myself and @peteprodge.com went to look at old telly clips at the Bradford Media Museum. After the inevitable "TISWAS" search we looked up the rival and were aghast at 'Nazi Noel Fun'. And from there it all rather snowballed.
